No way I wasn't going to share this one. I first a full Reign of the Supermen set years ago and haven't been wanting to revisit it ever since. The animated movie inspired me to take bulkier routes with them. I've made Steel a bunch of times as well, but I think this is the rendition I'm proudest of. I also wish he was utilized more. Eradicator is a common plot piece, Cyborg Superman is everywhere, and Superboy is probably the most popular character from the group. Steel feels like the forgotten one. Which is unfortunate because I consider him to be the most impressive. He's just a guy. In a world of superpowered beings, he's the one normal human wearing the S. Included a group shot with all four! Eradicator, Superboy, Cyborg Superman, and Steel!
Cape was cut and glued in place, with some additional sculpt added to get it to the emblem. Sculpted up the belt, full emblem, shoulder pads, wrist band, and bracer. Hammer was a dowel rod with a sculpted hammerhead. Full repaint, and all done! Whoa! What an amazing use of parts. I'm a HUGE Superman fan, so this really speaks to me. Even better was Reign of the Supermen photo at the bottom. That Superboy is amazing! I wish I had that growing up!

You and me both. This run specifically really reminded me why I got into making figures in the first place. To put together all those things I wanted, but never had. Steel is the complete embodiment of that. The exact kind of piece I would have wanted as a kid. Thanks for the compliment!

I loved Reign of Superman, and agreed that Steel was my favorite. I loved that not only was he a normal human, the fact that he was inspired by Superman's legacy, as well as tracking down the weapons he designed was a awesome character background.
I absolutely love him bulked up, and as usual you did a fantastic job on the sculpting. I had to go back and re-read the summary to make sure I saw what was sculpted vs not. Fantastic job!

Steel is great, I am a huge Steel fan.
I'm still a little upset he was retconned to be a technological genius instead of the blue-collar construction man he was first portrayed as. But who am I kidding, that series which gave his backstory was from his first year of existence, it IS his backstory. I still have his series. This figure is great! Good job.

I need to pick up and read that initial run. I don't think I ever read it in full. Appreciate the compliment!
