This packaging will be for the large "shampoo bottle" figures, it won't happen to 6" collector figures. Also other companies already do this except without the "self filling hole" part: those JADA cars are secured to their packaging with a screw in the bottom, and I've seen other car toys like that too. Plus little kid toys that are open have a twist peg inside the packaging to remove them.

For instance: If your book company has their line of credit with Chase Bank - they will need to keep their ESG score high to keep their interest rate low and affordable. E = Environmental, S = Social, and G = Governance. If they don't bow to the woke pressures - they will face higher rates, worse loan terms, and increased screw-tightening. It's basically worldwide bribery and mob tactics. In this case, it makes better economic sense for your publisher to simply eat the cost of damages and re-send new books than to face higher rates or penalties from on high. |

I love the knee jerk reactions, and of course the attempts to make everything political.
Lot of this is purely economics and saving money. The costs of production have continually been increasing, they raised prices already yet the cost of everything keeps rising, and a big increase in costs is plastics and carboard, any reductions in packaging is largely driven by economic factors and bringing costs down. Reducing packaging is being done by lot of companies. |

I live a few miles from the beach on a peninsula that is barely above sea level in a hurricane zone. I am not worried one fucking bit nor am I worried for my kids or their kids. Sorry 2030 is going to come and go just like 2012 did and 2000 before that and we are all NOT going to die. This is no different than religious cults that keep predicting the end of the world and then it doesn't happen and they keep changing the date. It is fucking hilarious that supposedly smart people even cannot see this or at least the parallels. They claimed it would stop snowing and we would NEVER EVER EVER see snow again around the year 2003. Anyone see the Penn State game this past weekend? Almost TWENTY YEARS LATER? Science does not require "believing" in it. That is religion. Science is an ongoing process with data and proof. I did not graduate from some liberal arts college but rather a Research 1 University and you know the first thing that I learned there as an undergrad was? Question everything and be skeptical. Research and science has a long history of being biased, faked, bought off, and just plain wrong. So instead of "believing" go try to square the 50 PLUS YEARS of failed environmental doomsday predictions. "Global Cooling" was my favorite one. Until then, go sell crazy some place else.
I don't want to waste my time doing a Google Image search on that photo but if I had to bet money I would bet it was taken off the coast of China. Even if it was not but taken elsewhere in the Pacific I would still bet that shit has Chinese characters on it. I just watched a show that had these environmental people on it and they flat out said that they have traveled the globe and the places that have crap in the water like that is China and Africa. Not the United States. Hasbro can eliminate all the plastic they want. Hell they can close their entire business. It will not make a single dent into the amount of shit pollution China dumps into the ocean. The entire U.S. can go green shit crazy and we can all walk, ride bicycles, eat tofu, never travel anywhere, pay some new taxes, sit in the dark half of the day, and it still won't help one fucking bit because other countries like China, India, and rich assholes who are scamming you about all this will continue on like they always have. Polluting like they always have, driving gas powered vehicles, and flying gas powered private jets. We will all just be the suckers living a way worse life while no one else does. And none of their "solutions" will do a darn thing to help the environment. But they sure as shit will laugh at us, especially the "believers," all the way to the bank. I am all for cleaning up the place when it makes sense, but if we really were in a world ending crisis, unneccessary plastic toys from china wouldn't be available at all, or if they were, there would be some sort of tax or disposal plan/fee associated with the toy and packaging. |

Retailers have become super lazy with returns, which is why you have these low life pieces of shit switching out items and getting their money back.
Simple solution to this. All retailers who have a toy return look online to see what the item looks like. If it doesn't match, you don't accept the return. Easy as that. This part is crucial. You need to act as if you are going to return the item, and in the case of say Walmart, who accepts a certain amount of returns with no receipt but require an ID...you make a record of attempted fraud for that individual which would come up on future returns. These assholes are stealing, plain and simple. It's time that they are either arrested or banned from making returns just to make their lives miserable. These companies/stores are at fault back when i was young adult this stuff you rarely got away with returning. A robot can do better scan product vs image oh sorry bob ross figure is not a star wars figure security escort this thief out. Bad workers doing bad jobs are at fault but hey lets destroy the backs cause it protects theft. Kid buys sees they ruined his toy i got this drill a hole in bob ross popstickle stick figure and return at walmart. Easy refund haha ok to much there but man just like denuvo for figures... bah hump frog. |
