And as someone who's worked in retail (record stores, back when they existed) I can explain why these went to Bargain Hunt and not Target:
First thing you need to know is when a factory takes an order they have a +/- percentage that's usually about 10% that they're allowed to go over under, because they're not selling you (the company making the toy) units they're giving you a block of time. So if you want 50,000 beachheads they can make up to 55,000 of them and you have to buy all of them (or 45,000). My percentage may be off, but that's how it works. You order 50k and they say "it should take 1 week to make those, so we'll get as many as we can and you buy them" So Target told Hasbro they wanted 50k, hasbro tells that to the factory, and lets say the factory comes back and actually hands over 50,562. Target buys 50k from Hasbro, and 562 sit in Hasbro's warehouse for 6 months. Target doesn't want them (though they could take them and put them on their website, but they likely don't want to bother). Hasbro Pulse doesn't know about them, but there's a Hasbro warehouse guy that wants them gone. So the Hasbro "sell to discounters" guy sees a relatively small batch of GI Joe figures and knows that Ross (1500 stores) won't want only 562 figures, so they go to a smaller outfit like Bargain Hunt (85 stores). Bargain hunt can send two cases to every store and blow them out. Ross doesn't want that few as they'd have to figure out which stores get some and which dont, which is a pain in the ass. My numbers and estimates are just examples, but thats why you see random small quantities of stuff. Its also why DD's Discount got some random TFs last year, and why one goodwill in Minneapolis got like 200 Blaster re-issues (though this would have come from Target's main HQ). Similarly Big Lots apparently got a bunch of MOTU Origins Eternian Guard figures that were supposed to be BBTS/EE exclusives |

My pre-orders for both wave 2 and wave 3 are from BBTS. They both say they will ship this month. Wave 2 originally said September so who knows anymore. I've had a number of BBTS pre-orders arrive in the last week or so (finally), so it's been fun.

They made me ship my second Super7 April like three days ago too. That always happens to me.

I usually let my Pile of Loot sit around until the month rolls over and all my outstanding pre-orders get bumped. I get too excited to wait around too long.

I try to pile up a few things to ship, but it never works out. I always end up getting forced to ship it at the end of the 90 days or whatever that they hold it. So it never saves me any money (thank goodness for the low flat rate).

Dude. My buddy and fellow Tanker Devildawg bought a cart full of CI Firefly at a Bargain Hunt in Murfreesboro TN. They had 30 of the damn things.
