I think we all just need to agree this comes down to which figures you own & why you collect/DICK around with toys. For those who don't have the vintage figures but are nostalgic for them, these are great. Same goes for those primarily motivated by nostalgia in general, more or less. For those who own vintage &/or are actually toy fans in general for whom nostalgia has become secondary, the lack of interest here is understandable.

Having said that, if the Haslab funds, I would think that past failure data becomes outdated news.

Yeah. The introduction of the new sculpt is when I disappeared from toys all the way up until Classified was released. I was still buying the TRU exclusive o-ring sets during the early '00s but once those were done, I vanished.
I will say that the new sculpt figures have grown on me a bit now. I still consider buying some on EBay from time to time. I know my 8yo is somewhat interested in them as well. |

More on topic, I wonder if Hasbro could do something like the MOTU Classics line that ran for like 6 years? I never collected them because I was moving around a lot at the time, but I followed each release almost religiously.
I would love to have a consistent, limited release, direct-buy service for "definitive edition" versions of both staple and obscure characters, with 1-2 vehicle releases a year via Pulse. That would be more than enough for me.

these are ugly lol.. I never can get into the ME figures they just looked lanky idk how to explain it but they just didnt look properly proportioned. but i guess we all have our likes lol. so as expected I was pretty excited about the return of o-ring figures. especially since I sold off my entired collection several years ago and prices are to high on ebay now.
