And their MOTU stuff came out pretty quickly. I've looked back in my account and one of the waves I got within 3 months! I never had any issue with their times when I bought their MOTU stuff. From what I have read it's people posting about how delayed their stuff is now that seemed to start with ThunderCats. Others then repost parroting this and have never bought anything from Super7 so they don't believe when I post about how much quicker we got the MOTU stuff.
Then they switched factories, claiming that would help. The next wave, which included the Filmation Teela . . . well, let's not discuss that wave. But it did NOT come out in three months. I have no idea what wave you bought that took only three months, but I have MOTUC classic figures from every wave until the end (Ultimate Filmation He-Man, Ultimate Filmation Skeletor, Filmation Sorceress, Filmation She-Ra, and Filmation Shadow Weaver) and they were never finished in under a quarter. April from their Turtles line took over 12 months. They now make it clear you are looking at about a year for each wave. Ultimate Disney Alice and the Joe Ultimates were both estimated for about 12 months when they launched the preorders. Their stuff isn't vaporware. It does eventually come. But it comes very slowly. The thing that disturbs some people is how many open preorders pile up because of the slowness (and the inevitable delays).

Lady Jaye looks awesome. In general, these look a bit better than Series 1. I was hoping for Scarlett, but I am certainly going to get LJ.

The Lady Jay does look good Salome with the Baroness from the Mass Device.

What's the point of this line with Classified being close enough? I appreciate the Baroness outfit, but this line has no oddities in it like a Fatal Fluffy. Plus, we are two waves into a Sunbow toyline and we haven't seen any sign of Shipwreck

Heck, if Silverhawks can get a standalone throne, why not a standalone Mass Device? I do classified but I'd pick that up

When the initial pictures popped into my Facebook feed for wave 2 I was underwhelmed at the character choices, but the accessories (and sheer amount of them) changed my mind. I don't need Destro w/metal pig mask necessarily, but you can't deny that the other accessories and alternate heads makes that figure choice a no brainer. The Classified versions of Flint, Baroness and Lady Jaye are more than sufficient for me, but the accessory line up and count for LJ also make that one a must. In other words w/out the accessories these come with this wave would have felt like a hard pass. Cool looking, but no stand outs for me.
As to the time it takes from PO to delivery for Super 7, these all valid complaints. I look at them like a Kickstarter, where it could be a year or more before you get the end result in hand. This isn't the standard thought process or turn around for most lines thank goodness, but S7... well they are what they are and typically the wait is worth it. |

I guess it's possible. But a MASS is much larger and more complicated than a simple throne. Can you imagine the size of a MASS that was accurately scaled for this line?

I am not a fan of that Lady Jaye head sculpt. It is too square, when it should taper inward, like an upside down triangle.
I don't like the shape of Wave 1 Cobra Commander's head, either. So it's not just a "holding females to supermodel standards" thing. I hardly ever complain about female sculpts. |
