Thank you Jason! If lumber prices hadn't shot up, the wood I'm using would probably be better grade, but it is what it is and everything has still worked out so far. Lol! I have lots of clamps and don't worry too much as the one I sacrificed was only 3 or 4 bucks.
What are the dimensions of the roll-up door? It looks like you can at least fit a VAMP through it. Can you fit any bigger vehicles like the MOBAT or APC? Jason |

Thanks! It's not been too bad. Not really a headache, but more of a challenge at times which actually helps keeps my interest in it.

Thank you! I don't have a 3d printer or know how to, but there have been a few really helpful tankers that have offered their expertise and services in that area. I hope to showcase their work once I near the detailing phase of this project.

I think the Luan plywood (1/8"?) is the perfect choice for this. You don't want to use too much 3/4" wood because it will just make the diorama way too heavy to move around.
What are the dimensions of the roll-up door? It looks like you can at least fit a VAMP through it. Can you fit any bigger vehicles like the MOBAT or APC? Jason Yes, the thinner plywood really helps keep down the weight. The drawbacks of the Luan is it can sometimes be splintery when cut and a little difficult to find a larger non-warped piece to use. I would've preferred using 1/4" sanded B/C Pine, but I already this luan and I couldn't beat that price. As of now, the front roll up door opening is 14" wide by 18" tall. It will likely be 1/4" to 1/2" smaller whenever the final trim is added. Two Mobats or similar sized vehicles can fit side by side with some room to spare. A Killer Whale can also fit through with ease. We also tried out a Skystriker that could fly out with the wings in. The interior of that section is also deep enough to house really long vehicles like the Thunderclap. Here are some pics to better help show the size. Here are a few shots of the largest interior door which the garage/shop area. A Bridgelayer can drive through it without any problems
