Same reason a grown man would carry his twin sister's picture in his hat.

I think it's been a great year all things considered. New figures in a new scale. Stay positive. I don't think anyone has the ability to get every character they want made. If they are making Zarana, at least there is emphasis on the noks. There are a ton of figures I'd like to see, but chances are I'll see 8-10 snake eyes figures before I see any of them.

Hey DT, Don't despair. I think there's a lot of people that want a Zandar/Zarana two-pack or maybe them with the Dreadnok Cycle in classified scale.
I actually think they made the scarf for Zartan with the idea that they could reuse a lot of him for Zandar to lower the tooling cost. see my photoshop mock up as an example. It's mostly Zartan and Cobra trooper parts with a new head. I thought Hama did the Twin thing in ARAH a couple of months back. Did they go back on that? I also think it would be cool if Walmart recreated the Sears Dreadnok vehicles with 3.75" Zandar/Zarana as the drivers/pilots. I think they have the molds for the fang and the sky hawk, so it would just be repaints. Good luck with your surgery! Hope it goes well. |

Isn’t the whole scarf being a part of Zaranas shirt just some made up fan theory? I don’t recall ever reading anything about that in the comics or anywhere else.

I believe they prefer to refer to it is "fanon" to try to legitimize it.

While clearly not nearly as popular as his siblings, Zandar apparently isn't quite so universally despised as all his haters here would suggest. For instance, if you read through the comments section of HoodedCobraCommander788's YouTube review, Zandar certainly seems to have his fair share of supporters/defenders.
Although it's safe to say that neither the scarf nor the "twin thing" carries as much meaning to any others as it does to Dreadnok Twins. (In fact, not a single one of the 117 comments even mentions either aspect.) What people appear to appreciate most about Zandar is the colour change. Plus the sound of his voice in the cartoon. Oh, and whether the ripped shirt/scarf is canon, "fanon", or something in between has been debated (at great length) previously: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ml#post5383948 https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...rf-zartan.html

OMG! I'm such a plank! The torn shirt/scarf connection was brought up, like, 10,000 times, actually. No clue how the feck I missed all those comments. Was right about nobody mentioning their twinship, though.
At any rate, here's the full video. But ignore the actual review itself (which is quite negative), just focus on the viewer comments.

Is everything I was fighting for now gone? Is it still achievable with Zartan-with-a-scarf that matches the Zarana-that-matches-Zartan? :(
Either Hasbro had no idea a fan was trying to save these things for Zarana and Zandar officially, which makes then out of touch, or they knew and stomped all over it anyway, which makes them very mean.
