i've been remodeling 28mm minis to 3.75" scale, and i've found it's way easier to articulate them with 5poa. it's got to be cheaper to design 5poa figures than something like the corps.
i mean, i could probably get some knee articulation because i have an o-ring leg that i could model on to, but i have enough headaches doing just the 5poa. as far as im concerned, final faction is doing everything right. super affordable 4" figures, weapons packs, heroes and bad guys. it's infuriating that hasbro had the balls to make 5poa figures in the last 15 years and expect 8 bucks or more for them. if they had their potf2 prices, which were pretty much how much they were going for on clearance, i'd be less angry about it. |

i've been looking into mini wargames that are miniagnostic. they're great for that. what has been slowing me down is i want some terrain to play in; and it's been quite a task to build something.
the humans are background stuff for me; but their weapons packs have been great for custom weapons and greebles. the kharn figures specifically show that they're REALLY putting alot of effort into this line. there's definitely an effort behind them. not "so the fuck waht they're dollar store toys" kind of crap from the usual stuff. |

Beyond my appreciation for the kharn design at this price point what I also appreciate is the long term vision of the company with regard to designs. We're inevitably going to see new Omega Team characters and villains and I expect the character designs to improve as time moves forward.

I've been customising a Lanard Rainfire to operate like a helicopter equivalent of the AC-130 Specter, and those weapons packs have been a godsend. I've probably bought five packs just for the drone to work with my Cobra troops.
I really like the Kahrn for their unique look. They are very distinct from any other aliens in my collection, and I certainly can't complain about building a whole army for $30. What's been the stumbling block with terrain building? |

time. enthusiasm. space. things not working.
i have stls from dragon's rest outpost origins, digital taxidermy's cyber punk city, imperial terrain's dense city theme, stuff from ec3d designs. a few different cardboard buildings waiting to be resined or resined and abandoned. one cardboard wall thing i want to glue together and put platforms on, then resin and paint. i have one HAB unit from dragon's rest scaled, printed and primed that has been that way for 2 years (before i even found these games)- im just now picking it back up because i want SOMETHING to start this campaign with. i spent 3 days printing a part to an upscaled shuttle from imperial terrain, for 2 parts, and each one had some lift/warp. one i started over, this piece im just going to heat gun and live with. shit like that eats into the energy of the project. |

That's a lot of projects to split your time across. Maybe try fewer irons in the fire.

I get that it's a kid's line but 400 plasma rounds per second? At what point are you no longer firing rounds but a continuous stream like a flamethrower, laser, or lightning gun? Now I'm curious how many rounds are in the magazine? How much does a magazine weigh? If you think shooting bullets makes a barrel hot plasma would be 100x worse. These guys need to play more videogames.
