Lunar as in moon and a play on lunatics was funny. For me I just never liked the monster alien designs and the silly colors. I used to use my Joes against Kenner's Aliens and Predators, lol.

I would pretend there was an inter-dimensional rift whenever I cross-played with different toylines.

Yeah.
I did appreciate the Marvel-Sunbow cartoon shared universe kinda thing they had as a kid, we'd have Hector Ramirez popping up and other guests like Cobra Commander/Old Snake and his synthoid tech. Was very ahead of its time . But most times the scale of toylines didnt always match up to have a crossover in my real life toy playing years. Visionaries was in scale obviously but their designs werent particularly great , not unless you mach them with Serpentor, Cobra-La and Bats. Inhumanoids was a funner series of toys with a enjoyable cartoon I was fond of , so I could can get away with using them . Transfomers couldnt ever work with GI JOE figures as their scales of completely off, for that kinda thing I'd have to resort to Robotech. |

Out of scale figures I would explain away as Cobra monsters/experiments. |

I always had them join up with the good Micronauts and fight the bad ones with the glowing brains.

I wonder how the IDW continuity would've handled the Lunartix Empire.

Could have been cool if they toned down the colors.
Predacon and Shadow Tracker could have teamed up.
