Most 80's properties and superhero comics are being "revamped" into YA trash now days. Easy pass. Who wants to see Joes go out for Soy Lattes and whine about their feelings? YA already has plenty of these properties and the push to convert most traditionally "boy" properties into things aimed at preteen and teen girls is why most are failing.

However, It will be YA now. Just look at the trash that's become of current Marvel and DC properties. If you think ARAH was YA you obviously don't know what YA is, or you're just being deliberately obtuse because my comment probably got your panties in a twist.

YA in general, but more specifically now. Is targeted at teen girls. (12-18) That wasn't what Joe was. It was a line of adventure toys and stories for young boys. (6-12) Those themes are vastly different.

You seem very angry and resorting to name calling pretty quick, geez maybe try to have a conversation before something really gets in a "twist". Young adult also doesn't mean girls, YA fiction is made for different demos as well but you seem to just hear a buzzword and are going off on it. |

I've been reading and collecting comics for nearly 40 years now. Comics are more mature and adult oriented than ever before. A marvel book today is far smarter and for adults than the stuff that was being put out in the 80s that was primarily aimed at young audiences buying floppies at the local grocery store and pharmacy. Comics are largely and adult market now, and it's not made to target the YA audience so no idea where you have been in the past 2 decades. And even if they did, not sure how Marvel and DC are failing as you claim companies are failing who are going to try and appease the young adults. Yes Marvel is crying them selves to sleep at all their failures, they must be going out of business soon.... lol
