Ghostbusters Afterlife supposedly bringing back Gozer cant be that bad. after all the Ghostbusters cartoon brought back Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and basically turned him kid friendly where kids in the cartoon literally used him as a playground crawling all over him.
Plus in the 2009 Ghostbusters game they brought back Stay Puft and did the whole thing of him/it cliambing a building basically repeating everything that the Ghostbusters did in the first movie. |

Kinda feels like a live-action version of "Extreme Ghostbusters", actually. (Which would be amazing, imo.)

It taking 30 years wasn’t due to lack of effort. There would’ve been a followup long ago if the falling out between Bill Murray and Harold Ramis hadn’t happened. Then Harold died. Whatever idea Jason Reitman came up with obviously sparked the interest of all the major players. That alone has me optimistic for this film. Although, I wish Murray and Ramis had been able to bury the hatchet a couple decades ago so we could’ve gotten an actual GB3.

bill murray, dan akyroyd, and ernie hudson also had great things to say about the 2016 thing.
they all regret that now. as for ramis and murray fixing things, they pretty much did after the 2009 game. following that, bill started to be optimistic about a third ghostbusters movie, so they(nerds that deserved that 2016 thing, and the studio) stopped pestering him about it. then the thing from 2016 happened and they forced him along because of his contract. you could tell he didnt want to be there, because it wasnt any good. but without that ever happening, we wouldnt have gotten this: but anyway, i still believe it's 30 years too late. i left the theater in 1989 a happy 6 year old never conceptualizing a third movie for that franchise. prior to afterlife, i never saw a single concept for one that was worth a damn. |

Course I just went with it, but yeah, the intro segment was a complete 180 as far as Stay Puft was concerned. As he was pretty much conveyed as being an entirely new entity that was independent from Gozer and/or being the embodiment of Gozer's "Destructor" form. |

this isnt some nobody dipshit who got mad women were in the movie. this is a very accurately constructed video about ghostbusters 2016. there are a ton more mr.plinkett reviews. they've had guest stars from movies they've completely obliterated like director len kabasinski, the samurai cop from samurai cop, max landis, and macauly culkin was a regular guest star. and the life long friend of mike stoklasa, rich evans is this kid dick the birthday boy. and this is without saying "this is the group that did the seven part phantom menace review." which, is an absolute masterclass in reviewing a movie, with comedy, and it actually be funny and super informative. I finally decided to get rid of my DVD of the 2016 Ghostbusters movie and give it to my nieces.
the movie was pretty much a joke. Felt like a Saturday Night Live skit joke that went on too damn long. Plus Chris Hemsworth as the dumb secretary ruined the movie also |
