I read this issue quickly and will re-read when I have more time, but my initial reaction was "meh." It isn't my favorite story line and I'm really struggling to enjoy Andrew Griffith's art. It looks like the next several issues aren't going to be my bag either (at least in terms of art--285 and 286 are both Griffith, 287 is a guy named Billy Penn) but I'll power through 'em. I'm not familiar with artist Kewber Baal, but 288 looks promising based on his other works.

I liked the story. Interested to see the conclusion. Fine with new characters, but they could use a more distinctive look. Maybe that is the weakness of the artist. If you are going to create a new character, give the character a couple of distinctive features. Sherlock has the prosthetic arm. What do the others have? Most have interesting specialties, but why not give them a couple visual features that remind us of their specialty?

Larry hardly ever discusses the art in ARAH. I wonder if he ever gets frustrated with the way an issue turns out or if he's just happy to be paid to write... |

This issue was terrible. Like 200 characters and we need new ones nobody cares about. The art is just not the right style for GI Joe. So sketchy and lacking detail. If you took the vamp out I wouldn't of know it was GI Joe. I have put off saying it but Hama has lost it when it comes to GI Joe. The stories are long and drawn out and lack any action. Maybe Marvel will get the license back and put someone decent on the book. And not that steaming pile Liefeld Snake Eyes book. I read this book because it was such a favorite as a kid. But the last two years of it has been worse then end of the original run.

I know this comic barely makes money and most of it goes to hama but isn't there a decent artist that can draw military out there? Diaz I don;t mind with a good inker. That Helix mini was the best drawn Joe comic since it came back.

Generic story, agree with too many new characters and only Sherlock standing out, and art is not good at all.
Looking forward to the one-shots.
