#259/X63. SENTINEL (CYBER VERSION) (based on COPS Bulletproof Vess)
Marauder Task Force Cyber Version/Version 3 Origin: USA Season 8 I have wanted to make Bulletproof (& Mainframe) from the 80's COPS animated series & toy line since the 'Miles" head with dark skin & the dress suits were introduced in MTF. But the suit was not offered in tan (until recently) & it actually is not quite right for the classic look for this character anyway... so the idea went on hold. Guys like Flint_rocks show how he can be recreated masterfully & his recent showcase in his thread made me rethink about getting COPS Bulletproof in my MTF-U ranks again. The build finally came to me when thinking of combining the dress shirt & contract-ops lower torso, covered with the rail-gun belts for the cybernetics look, using the dress shoes, & then adding one of those S7 Reaction figure Kyle Reese trench coats over him! Fans always make references to Bulletproof in GI Joe & Bulletproof in COPS being the same character, so they are the same character in My MTF-U as well, thus why I credit this as a Version 3! SENTINEL was a FBI Agent who was wounded while undercover in the Armageddon War. His lower torso badly wounded, research scientists from the Overdine Institute performed an operation that gave SENTINEL a cybernetic torso to save his life & accelerate his healing, as it would take years for his torso to recover while being bedridden. Newly built, SENTINEL is assigned as the lead agent from the New United Nations to be the liaison to the MTF. SENTINEL is there to keep the updated military operations in check, & provide intelligence to the new united government forces of the world against the rising threat of WRATH, while still taking on missions where his expertise is needed & the stakes are high! #260. SABER-TOOTH (based on GI Joe Tiger Force Wreckage)
Marauder Task Force Origin: USA Season 7 I've had Wreckage parts-built since summer of 2020... & in my head much longer. But I was waiting for the dark green camo MTF body to come back in stock, as I saw the orange highlights on that offering essential for making this character be cohesive with his-also-orange gear. Well that never happened, & it looks as though this deco has been retired in favor of the new camo styling. So I was happy to get this body option available again from my own collection when I decided to rework my Blaze/Crossfire figure (shown below) with new body stylings to be more accurate, making for a personal 2 figure win-win lol! Using the "Fang" deco head I think was the right choice for me here, as I am using Wreckage's original promotional name of "Sabertooth," & I could not resist using that option for a design reference! SABER-TOOTH trained at the US Army Jungle Warfare Training Center, where his job was to imitate the enemy, it was a role he took very seriously & would not pull his punches as he knew the enemy would do the same. Although most of his training was unorthodox, his trainees would remember to expect the unexpected from the enemy. He is both a master of arming & disarming traps as a demolitions expert, & has proved to be an asset on the MTF team time & time again. VINDICATOR wanted SABER-TOOTH as part of the "Phase 1" crew for the Grendel Island attack/search & rescue Operation: WILD STRIKE, as he knew the Gunrunners would be unable to take them by surprise with SABER-TOOTH on board, even on their own territory! ***BONUS REDO! *** #10 (Original). CODE NAME: BLAZE (based on GI Joe ARAH Collection "Crossfire" '01 ) Marauder Task Force Origin: USA Season 1 From my first 10 MTF figures comes a remake of Blaze (aka Crossfire!) This figure has gone through a couple updates over the years, (head swap, then cloth arms, etc.) but I still kept looking at him on my shelf thinking I could make a more accurate adaptation to the ARAH Collection figure, so I sat down & redesigned him from the original's reference using the new updated MTF catalog that allowed me to make a more accurate representation, using WWII parts combined with MTF modern parts. Although I revisit many of my figures when something more accurate is released, this is the first time I've replaced & rebuilt one from the ground up! I hope you like the updated version as much as I do! The original post for entry #10 will be changed with the updated 2021 photo! Last edited by Steel Brigade; 08-19-2021 at 02:45 PM.. |

Bro, you never cease to amaze by continuing to expand the Shinobi Squad, such beautiful customs and insanely creative bios for the each and every member of that killer group! Kunoichi Kaede is a very clever execution, as I never thought of using those parts and accessories to create a character of that magnitude. Kudos for constantly maintaining a high level of creativity and delivering such awesomeness of builds! This is truly a killer round of drops. So yeah keep them coming!!

Absolutely, love that coat on BP really gives it that vintage figure vibe and the briefcase with the cuffs is a nice touch.
Great batch again!
