I'd like to attempt to shrink the Classified Baroness head for use on the retro or ROC Baroness body. However, I have 2 questions before I attempt this:
-Would it be better to separate her hair from the head and cast those individually? or should I cast them together? -Anyone have recommendations for material to use if: a) casting head and hair together b) casting head and hair separately If if a make a separate mold for head and hair, I'm thinking about using green stuff for the hair and pressure molding it - that way it's flexible. any advice is greatly appreciated. |

Just had a convo with the dude I get my casts from, whom I decided to ask because he already has Classified shrinks available... however, the Baroness isn't one of them.
The long and the short of it is that shrinking in and of itself is a tedious and somewhat difficult process (he was actually quite detailed as to why- really good guy), but the Baroness specifically has the attached glasses, which would need to be removed beforehand- in essence, you'd just have a generic female headsculpt. If you're simply trying to get a really good Baroness headsculpt to replace all of the mediocre ones we've gotten, he does have a modified SDCC Baroness head in stock, 'tanker Hiss Hiss Fang Fang has used one in his Cobra thread fairly recently.

Oh wow, thank you for going through all that trouble. I'm not sure I remember from my memory if I like the SDCC Baroness sculpt (although I've seen her before), but i'll have to check it out. Thanks for the tips! It's been so long since I last tried to customize my GI joes, but now that I've left transformers and come back to Joes, it's pretty exciting.
I truly appreciate it. https://www.yojoe.com/action/13/baroness17.shtml The guy I go to squared that away nicely, I'll grab some links later and post them if you haven't found 'em by the time I check back in.

No worries man. The SDCC is by far the best sculpt Baroness ever had- the problem is that it's a bit big- and the figure is bloody expensive:

Thanks to Sataninjaku and HHFF, I went ahead and got the Baroness casting and here's how it turned out. I'm just not sure what makes it look off. I need to clean up the glasses. In don't know what it is about the face. Kind looks like she's pouting. Maybe I have to get rid of some of the color on her bottom lip and maybe adjust the angles of the eyes.
Close up - not quite sure what makes it look off |

I would have loved to find someone who cast that shrunken SDCC head and would paint it for me.
I would have bought like six and replaced all my Baroness heads (including my four SDCCs, where the head is just a touch large and takes away her entire neck).

Too bad you don't need that done, and live close by. I'm getting tired of practicing by having strip the paint and wash the head over and over.
