My son is excited about this movie and the toys I showed him (which has me excited). But when I went to order a Snake figure and the sword set the websites I visited (BBTS, Walmart) said the ship date was October. Is that correct? I was hoping to get him some stuff before the movie was out. Sorry if this was already covered. Thanks.
I fully expect stores to be well stocked with the "kids" Snake Eyes movie product by the end of July to beginning of August. May not hit before the movie, but stuff should be available around the film's release period.

Rec'd Storm Shadow and Ninja Tech Snake Eyes from Amazon today.
They're what you might expect from a $9.99 MSRP Joe in terms of quality and compatibility with Classified. Both are *close enough* in size to Classified, but much lighter and visibly smaller. The scale difference is noticeable, and will upset some people. Photos to show the scale compared to Classified. The figures themselves are okay. They come with a number of small, mostly unpainted accessories. They have a "swinging" action at the waist, so if you turn them clockwise, they'll snap back, and you can only maneuver the waist turning counter-clockwise. Knee and elbows bent and twist, but are single-jointed only. They remind me of the joints on the Retro Cobra Trooper. No articulation at the ankles or wrist at all. Overall, more manipulation than I'd expected, but still not great poseability. Classified has spoiled me. The discoloration (or inconsistent coloring) of Storm Shadow really bugs me. The figure is consistent throughout except for the chest, which is a much brighter white. It's a jarring contrast. I did get two Storm Shadows, and both are like this. Maybe it's from the same run, but odds are this is what the figure looks like. Maybe more photos later, I've gotta busy day!
