WOW!!!! That looks amazing! How long has that taken you to get to this point? And.....what are you using? Looks pretty sturdy too.
I'm using pine mostly. It has 1/2 inch thick plywood flight deck. And the sides are 3/4 inch thick pine boards. The base is 5/8 inch plywood. After working on it for six months I really have become a little attached to her. I don't think I'd take any chances of breaking it. I'm sure it's as solid as most wood projects. Bought paint today. And ordered USS FLAGG stickers. Working on hand rails next. You will have to be patient now for the final revealing. Hope someone has a flight crew for sale. YoJoe! G.I.Dad |

It's looking great! I had wondered how you were going to access the stuff below deck. The little fuel refilling doors in the deck really cool.
You might look into Marauder Gun Runners to build up your flight crew.

I did a search by name and could find the person called Marauder Gun Runners. Can you help me get in touch with him?

Hard to tell if I'm still working on it I know but I'm adding little details now on the tower. Put on all the doors on already. Timeline is as follows...details for the tower, handrails, paint, stickers. Presentation. I hope you are as excited to see the final product as I am. I added 3 more pictures on page one. Different angle and my tower work today. People ask who's it for and who's going to play with it. Honestly it's just something that I wanted as a kid and still do. I plan on setting up my collection and creating some fun adventures. I am willing to create new friendships and share the fun with you other serious collectors. Please send me your corispondence through hiss tank and let's get to know each other.

Started painting and the colors are very good. Also got reproduction Flagg stickers. Still hoping to reveal the final product by the 4th of July. Stay tuned... one new pic on page one. Hope you don't mind if we save a little for the big finali. YoJoe! |

Thanks for the compliment but.Wow... big stars in that video that you linked. Makes me me VERY, VERY sad though. To see so many actors that I use to respect..till now. Making fun of one of the greatest things ever made.
I guess if they can't be great themselves...tear everyone Great down. I really pity those types. "Show respect to others if you ever want others to show respect to you!" Yo Joe! G I dad Last edited by G I Dad; 06-20-2021 at 11:41 AM.. |

Man, this is coming along very nicely! You are replicating all of the detail of the original FLAGG, but with the durability of being made of wood! I can't wait to see the next progress photos, and eventually the finished product ones! Keep up the great work!
