These are awesome SB! I never knew about that movie until today, I'm gonna have to check it out. Your Saboteur and ASP Trooper are definitely on my radar for duplication.

Looks like the budget for that was 4.99, a bag of crisps, a conker and a copy of last week's Beano.

…and playing some catch-up commenting on the fantastic creations this thread continually delivers!
I love that Lightfoot, I got into MTF to plug holes in my modern Joe collection and make figures like him. I had to place a new order to update mine with some of your superior design choices. Fastdraw is an ingenious use of the exo suit. It’s like ARAH and POC at the same time. Again, you may be costing me some funds to recreate that bad boy. Did you paint the visor? Have you added painting to your repitoire? Never would have know Road Pig would work so well with a shirt. Love the small things on the color pallet you chose, like the gray knee pads and brown armor pad boots. Again, did you along the red stripe in his hair? Just a great, great job. I really love Maverick too. Might have to try and recreate that one as well. Some of your builds are so nice, you make me want to recreate character like this that I don’t have any personal connection to otherwise. You builds and dedication along with AVAC’s casts has taken your work to even higher levels. Great work SB - keep ‘em coming! Last edited by Dod Ear; 06-13-2021 at 02:33 PM.. |

Man that Supreme Commander is straight out of a terrorist nightmare. Awesome job. Didn't even realize you hadn't done "your take" on CC until now.

Wow, War Machine looks like the Joe version of the original Resident Evil intro cinematic! Looks epic, definitely will need to check it out at some point.
Great new take on the Commander! Don’t think I ever saw someone use that hood on a modern custom so really cool to see it. Then love the layering on him with that webgear. The new camo looks perfect for a Firefly type character. Another fun unique build for your Scarlett! Always cool to see something new for her since we’ve had so many versions over the years. The new legs give the Beachhead a cool look on the MTF torso. Love giving him the sledgehammer. Then the trooper is just bad ass! The sunglasses, WW2 helmet & scarf combo really breath some new life into the original MTF vest! Great job on the new batch! Always impressive how you always find something new to make! I think this means you’ve officially out “deep-cutted” me. Haha. I can’t imagine finding anyone attached to Joe lesser known than this War Machine crew.

Whew! Sorry for the late replies friends, it's been a busy week!

Thanks! She is a nice clean design! Quote:
Hard movie to get a hold of brand new boss, like I managed to get. But can be bought very cheap used on Japanese auction sites (Rakuten, Yahoo Auctions), & the Japanese tend to take good care of their stuff. ***ALSO ... you need a Region Free DVD player as it is a Region 2 DVD! If you make the Saboteur or ASP Trooper ya gotta post! Quote:

I really liked your comment about ARAH+POC style Fast Draw, that's perfect lol! I used sharpie marker on all of the "painted" parts, Fast Draw's visor, Road Pig's hair, etc. I appreciate you noticing the little things! Thanks for all the kind words & it's great to see you back in this thread! Quote:
It's true about SE! I have not made Steel Brigade Delta, not sure if he will make the cut but thanks for the suggestion! ;-) Quote:
Ha ha awesome, yeah I love that figure, and agree with you bud! Yes, surprisingly no CC's up until now! Quote:

While the "War Machine" movie may not be what I would describe quite-as-epic... it is a lot of fun! And is kinda great for all the wrong reasons lol. Thanks for all of your thoughts and feedback as always H&R, as you know I really appreciate it! Yeah even if it's a hodgepodge of core characters, in a way, I might of went for the "Deepest Cuts" of all with the "War Machine" roster! I hope I can continue to surprise you guys with all I have planned, as always there is much more to come! Last edited by Steel Brigade; 06-18-2021 at 10:34 AM.. |
