This movie is a pass for me. I like to support G.I. Joe as much as I can and I went to the theaters for the first 2 films. This film looks much worse than Sommers G.I. Joe film. The characters look one dimensional, the acting forced, the fight scenes lack flow and the action scenes... well just disappoint. Larry Hama is involved, so what. He got paid for it and that is pretty much all G.I. Joe has ever been to him. It is ok, I do not blame him, but I do not need to support crappy films.
Action lacked flow...flow? Flow in a chopped up teaser trailer? Acting one dimensional? Determined in a 60 second clip?!

It's surprisingly great. Imagine a John Hughes film meets Short Circuit and Trans Formers. It's pretty well written, with some decent characters and a good assortment of 80's songs on the soundtrack. It's quite a bit different than the original show, but style-wise it seems like a movie that could've been a product of the 80s.

You should. It's a good movie. At the theater where I watched it, the audience gave it a standing ovation. Yeah, I know it's weird to give a movie a standing ovation, but the fact that it did got one meant it came from people's hearts.

We still do standing ovations at the theaters here in the states. Depends on the movie though.

And if you think Larry Hama has only been working on GI Joe for this long just for a paycheck, then perhaps you should win the award for the dumbest post of the year instead of the day. |

In endgame where cap lifted Thor’s hammer the audience unanimously cheered out loud
