Question for you guys, feel free to share your opinion. What are your thoughts on doing custom versions of exclusive figures?
The high cost of exclusives makes me not want to open them and makes me want to sell them. The parts are available to do them as customs, but by the time you buy two or three figures for parts, a cast item or two, and accessories, you could have 40 bucks in the project and it not be factory paint, potentially have paint rub, and probably no named stand. On the other hand, with a custom you can do things differently if you liked. Yeah that Dialtone in particular is a stinker. I was so happy, when i finally got one. But now, years later and having seen so many better customs, i hate that piece of crap. |

I'm thinking of updating Thrasher to a not-so-Mad-Max-like version, with a shirt on, and without the ripped clothes. But i do like the shoulder pads though, which i assume are some kind of lacrosse/football pads. Is there a figure from any line that has that kind of pads, that could be used?

Thrasher’s webgear is removable and you could mod it so it didn’t have the ripped shirt. You could most likely get a cast of it if you didn’t want to mod the original.

After a quick google, i assume you're thinking of the fortress assault figure? That is a very good suggestion. Thanks! You're a wizard, man. Last edited by biggs; 04-12-2021 at 04:15 PM.. |

I have definitely considered that. I was also thinking of trying cutting some body armor, and combining with JoyToy armor for the upper arms maybe.

Ultimately I plan on only using it for the base colors and will brush on the painted details. |

I’ll say it here because I don’t know a better place- posting pictures of your customs in someone else’s custom thread unsolicited on any forum is a party foul of the highest order.
I’m not calling out nor accusing anyone specifically- but don’t be that fucking guy! Future offenders will be put on blast!
