Okay, have to be honest, I was completely mortified by the "fan"/customer demographics on display during the Facebook event*. (Not sure what I was expecting, but ... wow.) So, at any rate, I did some research, and the good news is Hasbro clearly realizes there is a major cause for concern. The former Head of Digital Marketing said, "Nostalgia is the enemy of progress" which "essentially boils down to the idea that if you’re too attached to the past, you’re less likely to step outside the box and try something new."
For anyone else interested, here are a few links to interviews with top Hasbro executives. Now, some of these are pre-pandemic, however clearly still apply. (Also worth noting that none of the execs even list G.I. Joe among the company's "major brands".) https://toybook.com/state-of-the-industry-qa-hasbro/ https://www.clickz.com/hasbro-evolve...tomers/214732/ https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/15/here...oys-r-us-.html Oh, and this old fan posting I found pretty much sums up the issue quite nicely: https://www.fandom.com/articles/gi-j...er-generations * At one point I thought I was gonna throw up. Seriously. (Though no offense to anyone who participated.) |

Not sure I'm quite following the question, actually. I was referring to the demographic breakdown of both the Pulse Premium Party and of the Q&A solicitation.

I thought the figures are quite fine. Compare this with POC or Retaliation, and it is full GI Joe glory! heck, the Night Creeper is tremendously night creeperish!
Of course, I would have preferred 3.75, but it seems Hasbro has decided that 6" is now the official scale, and to hell with all the rest. I must say that I would only contemplate the Red Ninja, and only as a thought of Marvel Legends ninja, as I like my Joes only in 3.75.

I mean, we all know GIJOE fans are white males between the ages of 40-50, who still live in their Mom's basement, and look at porn all night between posting on HissTank. There - did your demographics study for you... |

Are these up for preorder anywhere? They seem to be pretty decent for $10/each, and the Night Creeper definitely hitting on some childhood nostalgia.

How, exactly do you infer 'demographics' based on screen names attached to comments? Were you clicking on hundreds of these people, looking them up, and trying to profiling them? Again... I just don't buy it. If you did - more power to you, but that seems like a huge waste of time. I mean, we all know GIJOE fans are white males between the ages of 40-50, who still live in their Mom's basement, and look at porn all night between posting on HissTank. https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...questions.html https://www.facebook.com/hasbropulse...2694963096745/ At any rate, as you can see, the names and photos are right there alongside the questions/comments. So no "detective work" was/is required. Beyond that, sounds like your issue is more with Hasbro* than it is with me, so there's really nothing else to add. * And Hollywood ... and academia ... and the media ... and the government ... and basically anyone who matters in our entire society as a whole, actually.

The line should hit retailers en mass in August when stores do their big fall toy resets. Some locations or promotional efforts might hit closer to the film’s release in the last week or so of July. Keep in mind that the Night Creeper, Scarlett, and Red Ninja are apparently slated for “wave 2”, which won’t be available until later in the fall. I wouldn’t hold the “November 1st” date to mean anything other than “these won’t be available until several months after the first batch of figures”.

Not yet. The collector lines have gotten pretty far in advance on preorders these days.
