Of course The Marine Corp won. They’re Marines. “Oohrah!”🇺🇸

Let's take an honest look at ourselves, and look at the state of the battlefield. Take a deep breath have a open mind. We are talking about a kid's line. Currently the Joe's are MIA,The Corps can be found in discount stores. If you do find them, their price is not realistic, compared to Lanard. Troop building is unattainable. Let's not forget that the Corps, has been manufactured with out pause for 30 years. And you hate to admit it but you have them in you're collection. Now, with the movie line reveals, The Corps quilaty looks better than Hasbro's outside of the collector lines. For a kid's toy line, The Corps won. Not a collector's line.
Though I can only speak anecdotally, much of my work involves listening to children discuss their daily routines/share their personal experiences. So, naturally, I hear quite a bit about various video games, plus lots of talk of LEGOs, L.O.L. Surprise!, Treasure X Aliens, JunkBots, etc. Even Mx Potatx Head has come up on occasion. Never once have I heard any child mention The Corps!, however. Also, I'm curious how the upcoming movie may factor into this equation. Since I seriously doubt we'll be seeing a "Whispering Willie: The Corps! Origins" anytime soon.

the only way you can get anything that you actually want made by lanard is from overseas or at ollies if they get a shipment of toys meant for overseas.
whatever bullshit tkprime continues to say, is still utter bullshit. the absolute best thing lanard did since leaving the o-ring style (because that's the better toy) was the alien line, and then they shot themselves in the dick by inexplicably making them 7". |

The answer is a resounding NOPE. Lanard’s the CORPS! just like GI Joe, is supposed to be available at retail but is not. However, they are worse figures than GI Joe, all they ever do is repack literal garbage, they have a complete trash “mythos” that was retrofitted to excuse old outdated repacks, and they get sent straight to discounters like Ollies before even hitting Wal Mart. Also GI Joes are readily available if you preorder online (outside of Cobra Island). I have had no trouble ordering or receiving any retail Classified or Walmart Retro figures. In fact, I’ve seen literally both at retail, including main characters. The CORPS! on the other hand, I’d have to take a flight to Hong Kong (after their toy fair of course) if I wanted a Whispering Willie!!!(which I do by the way). So yeah, the CORPS! lost the battle no cap. With the success of Classified and how much hype it has on platforms like Instagram and YouTube (they were much more well received there than on here), GI Joe is not going anywhere. If Lanard keeps relying on closeout stores and their mythical “global sales”, they’re gonna be dead before Prince Charles.

All valid points! The passion for the brand on the ' tank is unending. The point I want you to think about is, if the kids don't see joes on the shelf, they will not care.
Now, I will concede the movie lines. The issue with reissued toys, what has Hasbro done the last few times the joes came out? How many times can they remake the AWE Striker? If you don't buy anything but GI Joe, great! But,if you do, that's fine too. Just ponder this, are you an action figure fan that just buys Joes, or are you an action figure fan that buys different lines similar to the joes. Buying online is not for kids, that market is dominated by collectors. Your average 5 year old, knows what they see. If they see a cool jeep, they don't care who made it. And I am not Walt. |
