Let's take an honest look at ourselves, and look at the state of the battlefield. Take a deep breath have a open mind. We are talking about a kid's line. Currently the Joe's are MIA,The Corps can be found in discount stores. If you do find them, their price is not realistic, compared to Lanard. Troop building is unattainable. Let's not forget that the Corps, has been manufactured with out pause for 30 years. And you hate to admit it but you have them in you're collection. Now, with the movie line reveals, The Corps quilaty looks better than Hasbro's outside of the collector lines.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still a diehard Joe fan. I just think some credit is due to the longest lasting knockoff. For a kid's toy line, The Corps won. Not a collector's line. |

Between them and joytoy, I'd say hasbro needs to step up it's game. Both those directions seem to have new champions. Only a matter of time before someone else steps in and steals their 6in thunder.

I've not seen any Corps on the shelves around here in well over a year. Unless you're counting Rampage and the random movie licenses lanard pumps out.

Corps isnt in the store technically. The lines that Lanard licenses are. The corps stuff is just as hard to find if not harder as the joe stuff is.

Yes I'm counting the movie lines because they use the same tooling. If you want to count the Street Fighter line as Joe's then Rampage is The Corps.

I would agree with this. Seems if you have an Ollies store you can find a lot of Lanard Corps. Otherwise you are out of luck. Hope that changes after Hong Kong Toyfair.

The battle for what? Being available? For using molds for 30 plus years?
And for all the fuss over availability, The Corps has NEVER nor has it ever tried to be anything other than a coattail rider of GI Joe. The real battle is mindshare, and even without toys, it's still a battle GI Joe is winning.

The Rampage line did not say Corps on the front of the package like the streetfighter packages said gi joe on it so not really part of the corps like streetfighter was gi joe. I think some of the file cards mentioned the joes as well.

No Corps in my collection, you literally could not pay me to keep those. I'd be pissed if someone gave them to me, because it would just be more trash I'd have to deal with on dump day.
Per usual, Steevy Maximus sums it up nicely.
