Epic Royal Guard custom! This is the only character from Cobra La I still need for my modern collection. I’ve been working on a couple build ideas but I was trying to avoid sculpting. I’m glad you went all in on this figure and it worked out for you because this has to be one of my favorites of yours.

Cobra La Guard looks solid! Had you not mentioned your only recent sculpting experience, I would have thought a good portion of your modern era joe characters involved sculpting of some sort. You're killing it with the newly added customs each week and I'd love to see more sculpting needed figures from you
Needless to say your Cobra La group and heavy action scenes shots are superb! |

Haha, my brother was already eyeing him like, “you’re making me one too, right?” He was so much fun that there will definitely be another, maybe one in the movie costume / look. Quote:

I have been away from the site for a while and you have been turning out lots of great customs since I last visited, I think the M Bisons are my favourites. You have made me want to to add the character to my Red Shadows army.

Thanks! I love the paint jobs on those Bison’s! Those colors came out so great. Haha, he definitely should be! Such a great character and the color scheme totally fits the Red Shadows! ————— Up next is one that I missed for whatever reason as a kid. We had Headman and the Headhunter Stormtrooper but much like Gristle, we completely missed out on the Headhunter. I actually remember liking his design back in the day too so he must have just gotten missed because I had so many of the DEF Joes so it could have been a numbers game. So this is one I had planned for so long but I was waiting to get a face plate in order to do him....and I waited....and waited....then after sculpting my Royal Guard parts I wondered if I could just make my own faceplate since I was smoothing out green stuff fairly nicely. And I was able too so the Evil Headhunters have their second member! So pretty easy build other than the few sculpted bits. Black German figure, balaclava head, beret and holster all from Marauder. Then I sculpted a faceplate onto the balaclava head, some shoulder armor and spikes onto the torso and some straps to hold the holster around his leg. Then just some cinnamon stick, black and gold paint and we were good to go! Headhunter With Gristle as I continue to build the Evil Headhunters: Causing trouble on the streets:

I can't believe how awesome all of these sculpted parts are on recent figures, even though you just started doing it. The Royal Guard and Headhunter look amazing, and the sculpting's so good it looks like you've been doing it for years!

Yeah....I'm going to need you to dial back on the sculpt work. The level you are at now took me years to get to. You are improving each time you do it. I'm going to have to step up my sculpt game now to stay ahead of you.
Another custom of a guy I'm not familiar with at all. I am familiar with Headman some what. I'm guessing these were his foot soldiers.

Another custom of a guy I'm not familiar with at all. I am familiar with Headman some what. I'm guessing these were his foot soldiers. Headman had “narcotics” guards and “crime” guards. These are the narcotics ones. So I always took one to be his regular guards / army, then the other to be his special mission guys. Sort of like Cobra Troopers and Vipers. Really like how this one came out and looks with Gristle. Topical too because I just watched Robocop 2 so I was thinking about Nuke and Cain the entire time I was taking the pictures. Haha. I don’t know how many times, “what’s bothering you, Robocop? “CAIN! Cain, is bothering me!” ran through my head while taking these pics.

That’s a solid effort and great use of parts.
