It just dawned on me that another thing that made this issue stand out (at least for me), was that the characters and vehicles LOOKED like the figures and toys I had as a kid. It was pretty much spot on—down to they even used the weapons the figures came with.
Plus—this issue is what makes good Joe stories: Joes vs. COBRA. Seems so simple, but we rarely get this type of action anymore. |

I will but I get my pull at the end of the month. Comic store is kind of far from my house.

To get the numbers to really matter, folks have to be buying on a regular basis with comic shop preorders, or buying up lots of digital copies is the only other option. Last edited by PanzerKrake; 02-17-2021 at 11:48 AM.. |

I got my copy today, since I didn't make it home until 9 last Wednesday. Got the snow job cover, although I was tempted to get the low light cover because I love me some low light but I liked the art of the arctic cover better. I haven't had a chance to read it yet though.

Theres nothing that will suddenly get people to buy this book. The art was good, but it also was pretty straight forward one shot that is not gonna get any notice. Folks going out and buying it now doesn't really do a whole lot of good, comic sales really require people to be buying the book ahead of time so that stores order more copies. Folks buying up this one issue now that is out is going to be of no importance, the stores ordered their books months ago.

That said, I liked it. Very clean look to the art and it worked well.

Read it. A good issue. Like everyone else, I thought the art was great aand would like the artist to stick around.

Okay I love it when Cobra Commander does this. HOWEVER we deserve the biggest of all payoffs from this habit of his. In the epic finale of ARAH at least half a dozen Joes should be headshot by Cobra Commander as he's rushed. He has to be a great shot.

Got my copy today. Great comic! Excellent use of characters. Artwork was as good as the preview promised. Reminiscent of both the classic Sunbow show and the classic Marvel comic. This is basically GI Joe at its best.
I'd buy that comic. Especially if it picked up after "Into Your Tent I Will Silently Creep" instead of the movie. The aftermath of Cobra returning to Cobra Commander and rebelling against Serpentor would make for some fun reading. |
