All this plastic and no real retro O-ring figures.

FINALLY. I love minimates and been wanting Joes for years. Here's hoping they get multiple runs!

Not super familiar with minimates; are they normally multiple waves for licenses? Looking at the TMNT ones on BBTS the waves seem to be eight figures with chase figures. But those might be mass retail. |

Sorry for the late reply; in my experience, they likely mean to do 2 or 3 boxsets of 4. However, this will greatly depend on how well it sells. GI Joe nostalgia is fairly high right now for products like this, so I am hopeful that it will meet their hopes and expectations. I'll buy whatever they make,

They had short runs often in TRU for some franchises, but they were never that big of a deal. |

"PREVIEWS Exclusive" means these will be available at comic book shops, correct?
I am so tired of people whining about O-ring bullshit. I honestly believe that Hasbro will never make them again. Time to move on. Same here. I love Minimates and this announcement is what I've been waiting for!

Really stoked about the Joe line for Minimates! I'm glad to see Diamond Select bring these back to retail and I hope the Joe line gets filled with many waves of our favorite characters.
I know that minimates aren't really loved by the fandom, but I urge you to try them out. Super-customizable with plenty of great helmets, backpacks, weapons, and accessories from a large back-catalog of figures. For a visual guide go to minimatesdatabase.com for more info. I'll end in saying, those that are frustrated with the Classified line, maybe try these out? Simple yes, but there is a lot of fun to be had, and army building them is soooooo much cheaper! |
