Who is "they" in this question? If you're asking about each of us, individually.....then no. I am not.

im tired of the general bullshit of collecting. by the time i get these figures that are difficult to get i cant even stand to look at them.
my last moment of excitement about a toy i bought was the kharn aliens from the dollar tree. im still pretty impressed with them. i walked into a dollar tree, picked a syonthoid, a drone and a brute; walked to the counter, bought them, and opened them and was so into them i had to get another set. and another. and unlike star wars figures and having to chase them all over creation, that feeling of excitement over a dollar tree toy hasnt changed. i look at a brute kharn figure and think "i want to add a little paint to it, but it's great as is. i cant wait to start my dio story and involve these aliens." and then i look at my din djarin 1st season brown armor and i think about all of the completely unnecessary grief to get a toy. i still havent done anything with the walmart exclusive din and child i have because of the bullshti with that figure. |

However I'm still a huge sci-fi fan and thrilled with building out new dioramas. Really inspired by this guy, https://youtu.be/eiBQD-cHe4o especially since he builds with plywood and I do a lot of carpentry. Fuck soft foam, I like good hard wood. Quote:

Maybe it's because I use BBTS, and generally avoid Walmart the same way landwhales avoid the gym, but I haven't had any troubles getting SW figures. The exclusive incinerator troopers were annoying, but those are the only figures I bought from Walmart.com. I love that brown armor Mando and Carbonized Cara. Some of that is because they each their own dinosaur to ride. I customized two Beasts of the Mesozoic figures. Mando rides a velociraptor and Cara rides a Styracosaurus, and they just look fantastic on their mounts. |

Yeah, it started with the Specialized Editions. Then continued with the prequel trilogy. Fortunately the Clone Wars cartoons were phenomenal and really reinvigorated my love for Star Wars. Which was then annihilated by the sequel trilogy and Solo: A Star Wars Bomb. Then I was really enthralled by The Mandalorian. Then Disney displayed what horrible people run Lucasfilm and now I don't care about Star Wars, Marvel or anything else currently owned by Disney.
I did have misgivings at the opening scene on Mando, as the first bounty alien felt very Star Trek or GotG. But once he met with my man Carl Weathers I felt the episode (and show) really took off.

^I saw a Rogue One/Full Metal Jacket parody on youtube, and when Vader ignited his lightsaber they played DI Hartman's voice saying "today, is Chrsitmas!". I can't not hear that whenever I see that scene now.
