Starting on my WWII Sgt Savage team, who will eventually be Savage, Dynamite, D-Day, Dart, and a very young Joe Colton.

I like the Jungle Ops as well, though I was hoping we'd see the design that was originally apart of the RPG kickstarter that didn't fund. I'll most likely wait for the cloth-leg version.

I assume those are BFS blank arms on Savage? Which color? They look to be a perfect skin tone match. Did you have to modify the waist piece after you removed the 'jacket skit' to have it look alright? |

I want to say they’re the light peach color. The waist piece is Contract Ops with the WWII legs added.

but even their "cloth" legs are odd to me. I don't like them as a standard option. What they actually are is calf high boots without armor, which still stick out like a sore thumb. There are very few Joes that wear boots like that. It just doesn't look right as something that alot of figures should have.
I get armored Trooper figures as the first release... but when they started doing other parts, the combat boots with bloused pants should have been the first thing they did. They have been making figures long enough and have done enough parts that there isn't any excuse. I am not too confident in the Vietnam kickstarter making this happen as a standard option either. They haven't reproduced most of the WW2 stuff in their regular colors even. And inexplicably, alot of the WW2 parts are not compatible with the regular figures. I do agree that there should be a bit more standardization in the figure connection points, but even Big H had trouble doing that with a team of designers and a lot more money.

When I first saw the jungle ops, I thought of Nunchuck. Super easy build with that figure
