After looking at these pics here are some Pros and Cons:
Pros: I like the sculpting work on the hair, mask and textures on the vest. Cons: - The elbows do not bend. It looks like all of the discs in the joints are too wide. The elbow discs are wide, shoulder discs are wide, knee discs are very wide. That might have something to do with why the elbows don't bend. - Boot cut swivel. I don't think its needed on a 4" figure. I can't make out if the ankles move at all. He didn't test them out. - Gangly body proportions. His arms and legs are too skinny like a ML figure. He's way taller than the Hiss Driver, mainly due to the lanky build of the arms and legs. This just doesn't look like a modern era Joe to me. It's like a step back from POC/Ren/30th/Ret/50th builds. - Non removable webgear, non removable mask. - Huge ass holster that is unsightly. - Looks like swivel wrists only. No extra wrist articulation seen. - Huge as feet that are out of proportion with the rest of the figure. OK. Here are the pros and cons on the copter: Pros: I like the engine sculpt. Cons: - It's too damn short!!! - Footwell is a bad design. You can't get the feet in very far. - Rotors don't spin freely. - No footpegs on the rails. All and all, this set is not GI Joe to me. I'm glad I can save my money, but being a fan, I'm really disappointed in this set. What was wrong with the 25th Fang? What's wrong giving us a POC CT painted as a Cobra Officer for the pilot? They spent money on new tooling and took a big step backwards when it comes to this Joe sculpt. As Mark Webber said, this may not be the work of the mustache. Hopefully it's not, and there will be improvements in future figures. If it is, then I hope they get someone else on the line quickly. Otherwise, you won't have people buying these toys.

I do like the boot cut swivel. just because it looks like he has rocker ankles and I hate those. You can't turn a foot to the side to pose on a peg with those stupid rocker ankles, so the new boot cut fixes that problem. And honestly I though the gun holster looked good cus it was a lot closer to his body instead of sticking out too far and bulky like on the older figs. after watching the video, I think its unclear if the web gear come off or not. It was rubbery and sort of separate. The guy even admitted he wasn't sure if it came off or not. Maybe there is a snap somewhere they he hasn't found yet. Not to knock the guy but he just didn't seem to know/ have the right knowledge to fully review a figure with all the info us die hards would want to know. And when I was examining the video, to me anyways it does look like he has the extra wrist articulation (up and down as well as going around). And the sticking unposable arms, I think that would be an easy fix with an exacto knife and some hot water. That's just my 2 cents. Everyone's gonna have different opinions.

Mark was the head of the Joe brand, who was an actual fan himself and loved the brand, helping get a lot of product developed until Hasbro had one of their worst ideas ever and fired him.

I'll be skipping that Fang set.
I have several of the old ones from the 25th releases, which are much better. I don't hate the pilot as much as some folks, but I have better Cobra Pilot figures and troopers from 25th. I do hate that they used part of their budget to make this garbage |

Thanks for the write up. I watched most of the video and agree with your assessment. Just curious - who is Mark Webber? Does he have knowledge of Hasbro/GI Joe line? Would love to read or hear his interview if he has knowledge on what is going on with Hasbro/GI Joe right now. Thanks again!
