DeSimone was deeply, deeply, deeeeeeeeeeply religious, and during that time period almost couldn't write five words about anything without twisting it into a testimonial for Jesus. It got to be a bit much.

I've got a weird trivia question and I figure if anyone might know, it'd be Mr. 3DJoes.
Both your site and YoJoe index the Bridge Layer under 1985. However, the item page on YoJoe claims that the vehicle (and Tollbooth) were first released in late 1984 as a Sears exclusive before moving to mass retail in 1985. Your site doesn't mention anything about that. Have you ever come across any documentation regarding this, or could it be a myth? I don't remember the year, but my first memory of ever seeing this in a store was at a Service Merchandise, I'm pretty sure. Also, although it seems like everybody has always called it the Bridge Layer, isn't the vehicle's official name Toss 'N Cross (per the packaging)? Last edited by Josh Z; 01-25-2021 at 10:42 PM.. |

I found the page for Sears Wish Books on 3DJoes, and the Bridge Layer doesn't appear until the 1985 book. However, if it really was released late in 1984, it might not have made the Wish Book for that year. But it still should have been advertised in a newspaper circular or something, or else how would anyone know it was there? Where did YoJoe get their information on this? |

I just started a thread with a question about Sneak Peek's periscope thing.
https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ope-thing.html Carson, did you ever ask any of the Hasbro creators about this figure and what the point of that periscope was really supposed to be? |

This is a scan from the 1984 Sears Wishbook. The very first listing indicates the Bride Layer as a Sears Exclusive, as well as a VAMP/HAL combo set, it seems.
