I started this custom because I wanted to use the Hasbro Leatherneck for Dial Tone (my next project). Plus, even though the original Leatherneck figure doesn't quite do it for me, I really like the design on the card art (i.e., the colors and the camo pattern). So I set out to reproduce that look as best as I could (minus the longish hair). Here's the card art and mine on the right. His picture looks a bit like he has a vest on, and so like many other 25th figures I gave him one.

It's Mutt's, with the grenades from Leatherneck's/Buzzer's web gear glued on. Of course, it's on the wrong side but I'm happy with it.
Oh yeah! Here you go: - head: leatherneck - torso: viper/mutt - vest: mutt with leatherneck grenades added - upper arms: standard green shirt/duke - lower arms: standard green shirt/duke with modded tf flint arms - hands: tf flint gloves modded - upper legs: firefly - holster: leatherneck - lower legs/feet: leatherneck/snow job - backpack: airborne

Great job. I wouldnt have thought of that but it works great with the lines on the shoulders. That would be great if Hasbro used this combo to make the original leatherneck.

Nice man. I like how you actually gave him a vest instead of just painting half his shirt tan. That always looked looked weird, even as a kid. The only thing that looks off a bit are the boots. They look like Sorrels (snow boots), and since the first fig I saw with those was Snowjob thats all I think when I see them. The rest is awesome though, good job man.
