Hi fellow tank fans. This is my first post so go easy, but I'd like to join in. I have finally joined the tank as I have something to say... I was born in 77, in the UK and my best memories are getting Airtight, Dusty, Flint, Lady J, Quick Kick and the Battle Platform - Action Force of course - at Christmas time. I then got Skystriker and Dragonfly for my birthday in January. The collection naturally grew pretty well from there. They were indeed the best of days !!!
As an adult, I eventually managed to snag a Flagg on Ebay all the way from the USofA - about 20 years ago, and I steadily got lots of missing classic figures; but I never loved the new guys. I got a few bits and pieces, and liked the head sculpts, but I remember that Shipwreck just wasn't Shipwreck for me. I chopped his head out, and made Mocs with Orings, but then gave up on anything new really, stuck with the classics; and got a plastic addiction to Lego instead. But now... These 6 inch guys are simply magnificent. A complete masterplan from Hasbro. I only realised they were being made a month ago, and have been reading back through this thread for a couple of weeks - musing myself when you all didn't know what they would look like. I understand some moans here and there; but simply - they are so good, so fresh, so actually real, and I feel just so really lucky to be in love with Joe again. Amen. Just a bugger trying to buy them in the UK, but hey ho. Yo Joe. |

I kinda want to scale up something from here with my 3d printer and turn it into a body for an RC crawler. 6 inch figures look good in a 1:10 RC.

A bunch of us have printed HISS Tanks. This (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4297470) is an upscaled, more detailed version of Jabberwock's, further upscaled to 160% for Classified. I used his alternate treads printed with flexible filament, and also redesigned the wheels and axles but haven't gotten around to uploading them yet. Another guy designed a Skyhawk which I'm getting ready to print.

Yup, almost a certainty that the delayed "movie versions" of Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow are included in there. Maybe Major Bludd ("Leopard") and Barbecue ("Buster"), too. (Though those two could possibly be #27 and #28 instead.) Of course, that still leaves one number (between 18-22) unaccounted for. Wait! I'm seeing a pattern developing ... #01 ... #11 ...
#21 is Roadblock v3! (That would be so crazy if that turned out to be true.) BTW, speaking of boxes, whoever did Lady Jaye's artwork apparently agrees with me (about her knees needing paint apps). Cause in the illustration on the side, those kneepads look super fierce. (Figure's still amazing, though.) https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/01...g?v=1605809317

On a separate but related note, there's a guy/store on Facebook that's printing this and selling them for $400, and isn't even giving credit to either of the designers. |

* "guys" in the gender-neutral sense ... totally not trying to misgender anyone.
