I agree. It would be interesting if indeed Wal Mart requested a retro GI Joe line to go along with the Transformers and Ghostbusters retro lines. The Real Ghostbusters line is what I would consider true retro - those figures look just like the ones I had as a kid. I think they have done a wonderful job with the Tranformers line too (granted Transformers has been a much more successful brand for Hasbro). Compared to those two lines the GI Joe retro line obviously did not have the same level of funding.
Collecting is a very individual thing so seeing the wide range of responses to the release should not be something unexpected. I am glad to see people are able to express themselves by showing their disdain, happy that 4" scale is still around in some capacity or approaching the whole thing with a good sense of humor (see the resurrection of the O-Face duke thread ) (bad movie reference) |

I saw the 1st wave in a Canadian W-mart (in Montréal), I was really surprised, until I had them in-hand. That Baroness made me go: Eewwww, WTF!

Hahaha. Nice!!! And it will be the chameleon that came with the 25th Zartan. It is smaller than the vintage one, and no figure can fit on it.
