Again, I am speculating here, but I think the issue with factory kit-bashing is what parts are treed together in the die/molds. So, whereas customizers may be able to kit-bash a figure from a variety of parts, this may not even be feasible for a factory figure.
However, Hasbro already has a basic figure that would make the closest version to an "ultimate" Duke to date and that is the 50th Firefly/Flint body. I don't know of too many collectors that would have complained about a factory-produced figure using the 50th Firefly body with a ARAH Duke color scheme, no matter what head sculpt they added. There is obviously some disconnect with the team leading this brand. I remember back in the Star Wars POTF2 days, fans complained enough about the bulkiness of the figures, even after buying them out off the pegs, and Hasbro listened and produced the more movie-like figures in the POTJ line. So, even if all the screaming Duke figures fly off the pegs, Hasbro needs to take note that fans want a real "Ultimate" Duke figure. Does anyone know who the fans/collectors might contact at Hasbro? Maybe we should start a mass email campaign about how they have just totally dropped the ball with this lazy Duke figure. Jason |

Jason My Storm Shadow (from the moment preorders went up) shipped today, while Baroness was cancelled. Luckily, a buddy of mine found her in a store for me a few months ago so I have my set. But my interest in the retro line wore off pretty quickly and I don't anticipate getting other figures from the line. |

From what I see next in line will probably be Flint and based on their released figures, the new retro Flint version should look very similar to this beauty! ✌️😀

You are an eternal optimist! If there is a retro Flint coming, and it's as I suspect and the new Joe team is mostly hamstrung to mining the recent past and previous team's ideas for new product, I think chances of that are actually good...but considering the accessory decisions they've made, what's he gonna come with, that same ol' shotgun from the Spytroops era and an empty weapons crate from the DATD set? Maybe some funky-ass flippers or a hatchet too? Kinda not kidding. lol

The world is plagued with negativity and bad news so why we should bring that to our favorite hobby?

Yes... We should make a list of everything that came in the 50th anniversary line since that's exactly what we should be getting with better painting 🎨 details...
