Hit n Run has always been way to cool of a figure to have hidden inside a vehicle. I have a tough time choosing drivers when the weren't included with the vehicle. I tend to turn to box art and if that doesn't work I check filecard bios. I think on the vintage 83 its Grunt driving but he is also in the back so maybe its Grand slam? I know the Night Force has Repeater driving with Spearhead riding shotgun.

Vehicles that didn't include a driver have always created a conundrum for me, because I insist on having them manned, despite the fact that doing so obscures the figure. This goes double for the APC, because it not only holds a lot of Joes, but you really can't see more than 2-4 unless you're really looking.
My answer was always to go with my D-listers, regardless of MO. For example. my own APC back in the day was crewed almost entirely by Battle Corps figures. I believe Leatherneck was driving. The same philosophy applies to copilots, etc. If I can't easily see the figure, well, in ya go, Raptor!

That's why it's so weird when people complain about clear glass canopies/open turrets/etc (Rolling Thunder, Hiss Tank, etc). Simply a function of being a toy, designed to display the driver/crew most effectively. And, as much as possible, avoid hidden figures. Of course, the H.A.V.O.C. still manages to even funk that up.

Moving into our new house soon and decided I'll break out this Pre-production Lynx once we settle in. Been sitting in storage enough time and think it should be assembled and displayed. Not sure how different this is from regular production.
