Haha, Gristle was another of those final year guys that most people probably missed. I love being able to do the Past & Present pictures with my updates next to the original so I do it as much as I can. Been lucky in that a lot of guys I never had growing up, I picked up at toy shows before everything shut down. Thanks! That’s about as good a compliment a customizer can get! Haha, anytime my work looks retail ready, definitely makes me know I did the job well. Thanks! He looks like such a badass now! Since I already had great versions of the other main versions of Spirit, absolutely love having a worthy v1 now.

Up next is one that came together because I couldn’t figure out what else to do with the parts I had just gotten. I had a bag filled of John Wick heads and the yellow & green contractor so I decided, do a 90’s style version of a guy who never had a 90’s figure! I knew I didn’t want to just do another Rock n Roll so I found a guy who had a similar look and decided......let’s fix Hollow Point!
Another easy build, started with the new yellow shirt contractor & blonde John Wick head. Then started on accessorizing him with the pieces in my bin. The hat is a full paint job and then I just added some small paint apps to some of the other accessories, then to give him more color I added some bandanna’s, cloth & marauder. Really happy with how the JOE came out on the hat, tried to do the full GI JOE that the original built to rule version had but that just wasn’t working. Haha. The plastic scarf on his arm was inspired by something Axon did with his Akaw Brah customs because I just love how that group came out: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ml#post5336524 The final product is something I really love looking at, just fits with my 90’s Joe customs so well. Plus it really fixes a figure I felt the Club really missed the mark on. Now I can actually appreciate Hollow Point quite a bit. 90’s Hollow Point Then since the original was from the Built to Rule line with the LEGO helicopter, I decided to finally use my 2000’s copter:

Cool build. Way to use those pants- I had them figured for Shadow Tracker, but not much else.
Thanks for the shout.

Now this is an excellent representation of Hollow Point which I now appreciate so much more!! I love the accessorizing, hand painted hat and plastic/cloth scarves as they add so much more to this build...how did you manage to affix the arm scarf? Is that a standard MTF scarf?
I also thought the John Wick head is perfect for this character, fantastic job!! |

Love how all over the board these latest ones have been. Plus I love when I actually get to create my own version of a character, nice change of pace from just remaking existing figures. Quote:
Was really curious what other ideas people had for these new contractors. I grabbed one of each just to have them but really didn’t have any specific figures in mind until I started messing with them. Can say so far, Hollow Point and the other contractor builds I’m currently working on were all surprises to me. Didn’t expect any of them to be coming out of this order. Like how they’re all coming along though and they fill some holes in my ARAH lineup. No problem! Always enjoy your world building and like I said in the thread, that’s a group I definitely would have picked up at retail in the 90’s. Quote:

I also thought the John Wick head is perfect for this character, fantastic job!! The paint job on the pants and everything is so good that I felt bad painting over it so I was glad I found a reason to just accessorize the base figure instead of full out customing him. Then I didn’t have the thigh straps I wanted to use so the WW2 accessories were workarounds that I ended up really liking. Running out of parts during these recent builds is really helping me empty out some of my lesser used parts, which is always nice. That’s just the original Marauder neck scarf with no modifications, actually stays in place really well once you slide it over the shirt sleeve. Don’t think it even moved during my photos unless I really bumped into it while posing him. Thanks, I agree, Wick Head works great for him! Really like how different it looks with the various hair colors. I’m doing a lot better with those than I thought, think I already used half of them with plans for maybe all but one.

This one jumped the line. I finished sealing him last night and I just couldn’t not take pictures of him. One that I wish I didn’t have to make but it drove me crazy that my 25th Snow Job turned yellow almost immediately out of the package so he was always on the list once I felt I had parts that could do him justice. Enter the white German...
So another easy build. New WW2 white German, another of my John Wick heads, some WW2 gear and topped it off with an extra hood and goggles that I had sitting in my fodder bin. Just added a full white paint job on the body, then some black and gun metal accents to make him pop. Absolutely loving this one, haha, so much so that he totally jumped the line of guys I had standing there waiting for pictures. Snow Job Some pics of him with my other Snow Job’s and his artic Joe teammates. So glad Frost Bite & Snake Eyes were done justice so those don’t need upgrading: And then just a larger one of this shot because I love it.

That is a nice Snow Job
Interestingly I purchased 2 white Germans to make a similar Snow Job (and Sgt Dillon from Action Force), the parcel finally arrived this morning and they missed the 2 white Germans out (most frustrating). Pleased to know though that Snow Job will look good when the bodies finally arrive. |

This another great way to use the John Wick head! You do make it look so easy every time and of course it never is
That is one Snow Job who can withstand those subzero temperatures and harsh extreme weather conditions while performing at an optimum level!! |
