Thanks! I've seen your resin-printed stuff in a couple of your threads (your stuff is right in my wheelhouse, by the way) and I'm jealous of the finish you can get with one of those. With that said, I'm still pretty pleased with the detail I have been able to get out of this filament printer of mine. This is my first and only printer. I never expected a filament printer to have detail as good as this one has so I was pleasantly surprised once I got it.

Pluses and minuses the PETG metal plate is way better than glass or anything else I've printed on. THe auto calibration and other features eliminate a lot of the headaches I got with my Ender. But I don'tthink I mastered Prusa slicer and even though Cura works on it too, it seems the Prusa is much more sensitive to supports than the ender for some reason. But it doessense when the print is going bad and stops (most of the time) and I haven't had any shifting which is nice. If you want me to do a small test print, send me a file and I'll print nad send back. let me know.
Are you printing in PETG now? If so, exclusively?

Sorry not PETG, PEI for the board
But after posting I got this for (now my son's) Ender 3 PRO https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I tried glass, I used the magnetic sheet it came with but this, THIS steel shit prints so smooth and no need for glue or anything. Check it out! EDIT: also just printed a head with a .25 nozzle and other prusa settings. Came out pretty close to resin. Let me do some other testing

Check it out! EDIT: also just printed a head with a .25 nozzle and other prusa settings. Came out pretty close to resin. Let me do some other testing It's a "brute force" tactic but I almost never have a failed print, particularly due to adhesion issues. My most common issue is a support section coming loose before it can be used when I have supports between printed areas but that's still rare and it has to do with my slicer settings. I leave a large z spacing on the bottom layer of support interface to make support removal easier and to minimize scarring on the surface beneath the supports, so it's a risk I take on purpose. Anyway, I could blather on about this further, but I guess the main point is that adhesion hasn't been a source of much stress or worry for me. I'm far more interested in print quality (surface finish), print resolution (fine detail), and print speed (let me have high-quality/high-detail prints very quickly). If I'm going to make a leap into a new printer model it's those three specific things that would push me toward making a change. Anyway, post some pics, man!

My Skystriker F-14D upgrade project continues...
I have created rear landing gear covers with the strakes on the nacelles: And I am also working all of the kinks out of my replacement landing gear struts and wheels. Surface detail is still needed, but the dimensions are pretty much fixed up: The replacement landing gear has been designed to fit much more snugly in order to reduce wobbling. The rear gear sets now have basically zero wobble in them side-to-side. The front-to-back wobble for the rear gear is reduced, but not yet eliminated. The front landing gear wobble front-to-back has been eliminated, but the side-to-side is still present. I may tweak more, but I need to balance stability with functionality and to make sure the gear isn't so tight it breaks the interior mechanism due to resistance. As they are now, all of these landing gear parts function just fine, including the rear gear covers. The wheels are all installed on steel bearings, which is probably overkill but it makes this plane roll reallllly nicely. Also, I am just about finished feeling out the contours of the intake area so I can add the intake fan into the available space: These intake fan inserts will require disassembly of the Skystriker for installation. Here is a look "under the hood" for reference: Once I finish the seats, intakes fans, and landing gear I am going to be out of ideas on F-14D parts for the Skystriker, at least for a while.

The vintage Skystriker jet intake insert pieces are just about finished:
For reference: No modification of the plane is required. Just open up your plane, insert the intake pieces, and close the plane back up.

I'm just about finished with a drop-in solution to separating the wings from the landing gear for the vintage Skystriker. I have a few tweaks to make, but this is a totally mod-free way to link the wings together while keeping their position separate from the landing gear.
Wings swept, gear down: Wings spread, gear up: It fits in place with the familiar handle system up on top: This is accomplished with a replacement set of internal mechanical parts. Simply unscrew and remove the original mechanism and replace it with these new parts and you're all done. The wings move in unison just like they do with the original mechanical parts, but you move the wings by hand rather than with the slider handle up top (which will now ONLY make the landing gear open and close).

I took some time to model a copy of the original vintage/POTF Millennium Falcon radar dish...
Next up, I will model up a rectangular dish for a TFA/TLJ/ROS version to go on the vintage/POTF Millennium Falcon. And here it is displayed on a Millennium Falcon model I downloaded for fun:

I appreciate the offer, but since I plan to offer these replacement parts for sale I need to build my own models for everything.
