Thanks guys, I do like that Cap America vehicle as a new "Thunder Machine" for the Dreadnoks, of course I still have the classic vintage Thunder Machine as well.

This thread is wonderful. It’s invaluable to a hack like me. There is a plethora of ideas and parts choices to steal...er...emulate. Between you, K_R, Steel, & H&R, you guys always hit it out of the park

Catching up on a few things in here......loving the Dreadnoks! The group picture is fantastic, a good cohesive look to the group.
Really like the direction you took Zandar & Zarana. That head & bandanna worked great for Zandar. Love the coloring on the shoulder armor too. Then you did a great job mixing parts for the Zarana. Really like the sneaker look for her and the rips in the jeans are badass. Really gave the v1 a fresh spin. And all of these awesome Lampreys that people are dropping are getting me closer & closer to needing to make one for my shelf. Haha. Great job on him. Really like how well your coloring gives off the same look of the original. Love the paint job on this one. Quote:
But you’re right on that list too! Quite a few Rob builds I need to get around to when I get some parts. Still planning on making a Rapid Fire using your Super Trooper / Rapid Fire build.

I started with a silver pair and gave them a blue wash to try and tie them into the original figure. I liked the effect it gave so added a few more coats. I liked those jeans for Zarana, actually the ZL parts are probably the best out there so far for the Dreadnoks. Using them as a start point does help bring the group together. After the great restock there should be options out there for the Lamprey, if people want the dark blue or use lighter blue parts. |

Just a bit of fun, I had no intention of making this character, in fact I had never even heard of him until he was mentioned when people were talking about the convention Sgt Smasher. I was making this head for a new Red Shadows character which people will probably see on my Action Force thread when I get the rest of the parts after the great restock. After sculpting the hair on the head I popped it on this body to hold it steady whilst I painted it and an idea sparked in my mind. I quickly added the necklace and some chains around his wrist and I had my quick take on Mr C.

Dude I love the recent posts! Zartan and Zaranna look great. Perfect parts choice for the legs on both of them. Lamprey is super cool and the wash is a great idea to tone it down a bit. Then Mr. C!!!! Never thought I’d see one and it is sweet.

Honored to be listed with them because like you said, they all kill it with their customs on the regular. But you’re right on that list too! Quite a few Rob builds I need to get around to when I get some parts. Still planning on making a Rapid Fire using your Super Trooper / Rapid Fire build. Quote:
Thanks. But don't put yourself down, I love going through your thread, they are not always my era of figures but I always appreciate the builds and they give me inspiration. It is an honour to be mentioned in the same sentence as some of those other customisers.
Thanks. I am sure I have mentioned it before but I always loved the Dreadnoks, and they were the last figures I sold when I was young but getting out of toys. I didn't want Zandar to have blue shoulder pads, I wanted them to be metallic. I started with a silver pair and gave them a blue wash to try and tie them into the original figure. I liked the effect it gave so added a few more coats. I liked those jeans for Zarana, actually the ZL parts are probably the best out there so far for the Dreadnoks. What a great group of talent right there. I love seeing what all of these guys come up with. Maybe we should all collaborate for a future group project.....

Haha, Mr. C looks great! Did a really awesome job on the sculpting. Always fun when something random you try turns into a full fledged custom.
