Snake Eyes isn't dead.
He was supposedly in an explosion, never saw a body, death was off panel. Anyone that's ever read comics knows that's the easiest death in the world to retcon. He never died. After all, in the original Joe series, Cobra Commander was shot point blank through center mass and his dead body was buried, and he was still alive. Hell, the same exact thing happened to Storm Shadow. Baroness shot him point plank several times in the chest...we saw his actual dead corpse being dragged around for several issues....and he survived. Cause he was in a "deep ninja trance." Snake Eyes ain't dead. |

Well #275 comes out on 11/4 so we'll find out then. My guess for years has been his memories will be transferred to Sean's body and that's how we'll get him back. Hama has stated that he's gone for good, so maybe that's just his physical body.
Though if Snake Eyes were to come back (no matter how it is done) then what would the point be for the Untold Tales arc? Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to this arc, but if it is going to feature the same characters that are around present day then what will distinguish past from present? |

I always thought Storm Shadow was able to come back because they tossed him in the magic Serpentor soup while he was still fresh.

I so hope Snake Eyes comes back. I just don't see the point of his stand ins. Every time the Bruce Waybe Batman was replaced we knew eventually Wayne was coming back. I went back to ARAH issue one and wrote notes on every issue, but I haven't done the last several issues because I just don't care enough anymore even though I still read it to keep the Joes alive (including the real Snake Eyes hopefully).

FINALLY!
After this issue I’m done with Joe comics. The only good thing out of IDW was the Cobra Series, the rest... I’ve only been buying ARAH for nostalgic sake. But, the constant ninjas(brick in the purse), brainwave scanning, Revanche robots and the inconsistent release schedule of new (following) issues for the past two years. I finally decided f**k it. I’ll just keep rereading the classic and Devils Due “continuation”.

Yup. He was dead and they threw him into the Serpentor vats. He came out and, for all of 1 or 2 issues, had memories of all the other dead guys they used to make Serpentor. That subplot soon evaporated and Stormie was back to normal.
