Found RB & Destro today. Very odd to see 4 x RB, 2 x Destro and 0 x Scarlett.
Very odd indeed!

Kind of felt like the 80s again when I walked down the aisle. I say "kind of" because in the 80s you wouldn't see so much empty shelf space which is a complete waste and really poor store management. Empty space translates to missed opportunity to sell product.

That's a ton of HISS Tanks. I guess I won't be retiring off the proceeds of any future sales of mine.

Sorry but I think your thinking about how you personally want things to pan out. Grandparents are not going too want to buy these for their kids and parents only will if a dad has a nostalgic feeling in the toy aisle and buys them. Kids dont know gi joe unless they have a family member that is/was so they dont care.

I dunno man, some grandparents literally grab any damn thing in the toy aisle. So what he's saying *could* happen.
What I think the more wishful thinking here is, is the reduced screen time for kids during the pandemic. If anything, there has been a giant increase in screen time, unfortunately. Beachhead Matt-what I intended with my comments about screen time, was that with all of the increased necessary screen time for work and school, the parents and hell even in some cases the kids , may want less time on the screen. Screen fatigue is real, so any parent who is concerned may be looking for alternatives....bikes; trampolines, family trips/outdoor experiences, and ultimately toys and other imaginative play items. Will it replace video games or the digital babysitter, no. But this may have a slight impact for some kids and ultimately impact the sales of the leftover lingering figures. If there was a wider assortment of figures, or at least equal distribution within the shipped boxes that would be better, but we can't have it all I suppose.

I think if they got fortnite figures they should do Lanard over GI Joe. They are found almost at every walmart and you can get like 20 good quality statues to play with for 20 bucks.......
Joking aside, I could see someone going "Hey they play with the fortnite figures maybe they will like these and it has a vehicle" type of deal. It is a nice though but I think the figures need a screen with internet access in it's chest for the kids to care about them these days. Quote:
Shadow Ninja-no need to apologize for what you think, you are entitled to it. I am a bit optimistic in my thoughts on this. After finding these quality figures on these dynamic cards, I can't help but feel that this product could be a good gateway for those unfamiliar with the property to want to know more. Some of these kids may have a few Jazzware Fortnite fuguresbwhich these can be compatible with and they may find this product to be something they want more of. I know we have had this product in our lives for so long that we can be a bit offended when offered a product which we had already purchased. But for so many kids this year these toys will be their first GIJOE and I think they are a quality joe for them to start with (good paint; quality articulation; dynamic card art; loaded with accessories. Good stuff.

Tripling down on RB was a mistake. A figure with limited articulation should not lead the line. In addition, AA figures do not sell as well internationally (especially in Asia). They should have all been 2x.
