I've decided to sit out the Retro line but I am happy to see people finding this stuff in stores and just generally engaged in it all again.
Really hoping for a Joe renaissance.

I really hate to say this, but I'm noticing what may be peg-warming already. Roadblock, Destro, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are hanging around now in sizable numbers. If they're still plentiful next week it probably means the small-ish group of collectors got what they wanted (except maybe Scarlett and Baroness), the scalpers are no longer making enough money on those figures to justify buying them and everyone else just doesn't care all that much.

Sorry but I think your thinking about how you personally want things to pan out. Grandparents are not going too want to buy these for their kids and parents only will if a dad has a nostalgic feeling in the toy aisle and buys them. Kids dont know gi joe unless they have a family member that is/was so they dont care.

These waves may need to be supplemented with a Baroness and Scarlett only (or include them within the next wave of figures) shipment. I think it is still early, but once we really get rolling with the holiday shopping this year, we may see some parents pick these up as Holiday gifts for their children and grandchildren. I think back to my first encounters with GIJOE and if I remember correctly it was a VAMP, Stalker, and Snake Eyes (shortly followed or preceded by a Short Fuze figure). I am enthusiastically anticipating that these kids, who are about to experience the characters for the first time, just might see how awesome the toys are and may decide to use this little thing they call The internet to discover multiple different GIJOE universes, be it comics, cartoons, movies, books, games, etc. I believe there will especially be interest in figures/toys this holiday season as parents are feeling bad about the social isolation this amazing generation has been enduring during these past 8 months and anticipated next few months. This pandemic in a way has had to force us all to slow down and reassess how we live our lives. Prior to this, parents seemed to allow there children to have unfettered video game and internet screen time which really hurt the boys action figure market. I believe with all of the digital learning and screen time these kids are navigating that their parents will be looking for alternatives to screen time activities. This will lead to a much more imaginative child. Just my thoughts about this all.

What I think the more wishful thinking here is, is the reduced screen time for kids during the pandemic. If anything, there has been a giant increase in screen time, unfortunately.

Walmart in San Diego. I don't want to say which one as there is a toy store, I think called Toy Addicts, likely to scoop them all. Nice to see though!

No really, that's great. I left 4 Awe Strikers, and 3 Hiss Tanks at WM this morning. (Terrell Mill WM in Marietta for you local people).

My Walmart put out another case of wave 1 figures. I picked up better samples of all three and will open the first ones. I canceled my delayed pre-orders for these. They also had 4 more HISS tanks on the shelves since I bought the first 4! I've already got 5, so I left those. I'm interested in seeing how these sell in my area. I won't let them sit for too long though. I still haven't seen an AWE on the shelf and the one I pre-ordered is still delayed.
