I don’t know... there are lots of good movies that came out in the 2000s for sure... but 69-83 covers 2001, Clockwork Orange, The Goddather, French Connnection, Alien, The Warriors, the original Star Wars trilogy, Blade Runner, etc etc.

Even when I was a kid, I was never a big fan of mustaches. I actually liked Joes less if they had a mustache. Not sure what it is, they were just never my thing.
As far as Joes with mullets, Wet-Suit v3 kind of has a very conservative mullet, but that's the only one I can think of. |

1983 cuts off a bunch of great 1980s movies as well though. Ghostbusters, Back to the Future Part 1 and 2, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Predator, Robocop, Terminator, Aliens. BATMAN.

Also... the first Terminator is the only good one. I can go in about this at length and it is a hill I’m prepared to die on.

Check out the MLB All-Star line-up from 1982. Over half of the mugshots have the STACHE or some form of facial hair:

So I suppose I should have just said "of equal quality to" (instead of "as good or better than"). Kinda caught off guard by your singling out of such an oddly specific time frame as "the be-all and end-all of cinematic history". Seeing as every era has produced great films. I mean, "Nosferatu" was made in 1922. Having said that, the following (partial) list is extremely strong, and compares favorably to any previous similar-length time period: Adaptation (2002), Black Swan (2010), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Get Out (2017), Ghost World (2001), Hable con ella (2002), Her (2013), Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2 (2003-2004), Moonlight (2016), Mulholland Drive (2001), No Country For Old Men (2007), Parasite (2019), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), Shadow Of The Vampire (2000), Spirited Away (2002), There Will Be Blood (2007), Where The Wild Things Are (2009), The Wrestler (2008), Y tu mamá también (2002)
