According to Nekoman's blog, Olmec Toys was also in the middle of bankruptcy proceedings in 1997, and it looks like they went under shortly after that. I'm sure that also limited the number of copies produced. Last edited by Josh Z; 10-06-2020 at 12:01 PM.. |

I'm back in the vintage game! Just scored a never assembled artic blast and Ice Sabre. I've been eying the ice sabre since I was 9 years old lol.
I've been going back with the Ice Sabre for a few years now - the blue plastic issues have scared me due to it's reputation as being extremely fragile. A total impulse buy but I am going to look forward to getting it and carefully assembling it. It will be a nice finishing touch for my Cobra Artic Forces. I already have the Artic Blast so i'll end up selling that off lol. |

I like the Artic Blast - it's a cool weird little snow vehicle . I just have no need for two so hopefully I can get a little $$$ back by re-selling it. This purchase got me out of my vintage funk though! I may end up getting everything else I want by the spring now. Topside is one of my fav figs...a better figure then shipwreck if you ask me. Stalker v2 is also great. I am really contemplating getting the Artic Mail away set - I always thought the v2 Stalker in those colors was awesome. |

another vintage Mail haul. super tempted to Open the Joseph Colton figure. he was a personal favorite of mine at the tail end of my childhood. he was the last mail-away figure I ever had before the original line was cancelled in 94

That Lifeline looks nice. I have a couple of the Rice Krispies mail away Life Lines. As a kid he was always a figure I really liked. |

Alright, catch up time. This is 95% hauled since March of this year.
Excuse the mess and crappy pics, I'm still unpacking from a move:

You've been busy! Great collection my friend. I am amazed at your discipline to be able to avoid vehicle collecting lol.

I'll be posting hauls as they come in from here on out, meant to start ages ago, but just never got around to it. You know, I've talked about my aversionhm to vehicles this time around a few times here on-site, but it really comes down to living in rural Cali. We're very prone to wildfires here, and being evacuated one year and trying to prioritize which were getting packed up among some 50 or so vehicles on the fly was super stressful. I miss having the heavy hitters like the TD, WHALE, Sky Striker and Night Raven, but I'm petrified of having to go through that again. In fact, the shelves my collection is on were designed to pull off of the wall and stack in the back of a pick up full, just in case. I even went as far as to build my bed frame to act as a lid for them, believe it or not!
