Website for target is garbage as usual, but wonder if seeing the response to the first release, that Target has gone and pushed for larger order of this wave 2 of exclusives. Course that is not gonna do anything when you got toy scalpers going in and buying everything off the shelf in one go. One ebayer here in Miami cleared out 3 targets of their entire stock and had them on ebay the same day. From smaller retailers taking orders for wave 3 of figs it seems like the time frame gives them more flexibility to order more.
Also is it just me or is wave 2 easier to find than 1? Sign that more inventory is getting ordered for the classified series in general possibly? Maybe they are seeing positive sales to the first releases and it might help get more stock out there. |

Hey everyone, after the Pulse con Target Viper sell out I've been doing Target.com surveys and one item buys to get the receipt survey to let them know what is going on.
I got a response back today, and the customer service representative said in the email that "we have sold out of that brand due to popular demand". Sorry, but if the Customer Service people have gotten the message that Cobra Island is sold out, then that means there is no more product out there. Good luck in the hunt for leftovers, but this whole situation leaves a horrible taste in my mouth. |

I feel the same way. I was checking PopFindr a ton for the Trooper and was willing to politely ask for help when in a store. I'm not going to be doing that again for Firefly or the Viper. Between the Trooper and how many Infantry I preordered, I don't need to be doing any more army building until I see the Crimson Guard anyway.

I filled out 4 target.com online surveys and did two receipt surveys. In each one I mentioned the overall low order numbers from corporate and online bots, because those are HUGE reason why we are in the position that we are in. In my Customer Service Email response I was firm, but understanding. I gave them the reasons why this has become a fiasco, but also solutions to remedy some issues IF they choose to listen. I don't believe in crying about things or saying "Target blows" because that doesn't help anyone. What does help are large quantities of customer "complaints" to the survey organization, so they can see the problem and escalate it to the district managers and then that gets to the regional managers and then hopefully corporate. If the message is "you guys suck" then it gets tuned out by everyone, but if you are polite and have good reasons then people will try to help you. |

I think these will be easier for us to find than the first round of CI. We can get the figures we want out of 1 case providing one doesn't want a massive Viper army. There's no weird sized box Baroness to deal with. She shipped a full month after the others (in Mid TN, anyway) and in a completely different case. The day CI appeared up on PopFindr I went into Target and found 2 Troopers and Beachhead. If I can do that again then I'm golden. I'm RELIEVED Zartan is wide release. That would have SUCKED to try and find him at Target. This version of Zartan is perfection. Love everything about his design and the cowl is even removable. Bravo Cory! BRAVO! I really like the character of Firefly but think they made some really weird/bad decisions in the design of this figure. I don't see a get-in-get-out saboteur wearing an 80lb bomb disposal style vest. It's MASSIVE and the shoulder pauldron is absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention he has a "OH HELL THIS BOMB IS ABOUT TO GO OFF" look on his face (check out the area around his mouth...It's just UHG). "Docking" his drone on his backpack looks really silly. The props/fans look like speakers. This figure almost seems like a parody of Firefly.

I hope they order more than last time. If it's one firely and 5 vipers, ill take a case myself. He'll, I'd buy whatever was pegwarming from this just to do them a solid.
I won't buy any Roadblocks or Scarletts though. Those will never sell. |

Target isnt gonna do shit. They want you to go to the store and also pickup laundry detergent and m&m's on your way out of the toy aisle since they know you will run there first. Once I went early and when I got to the aisle there were like 5 guys fighting over Star Wars figures and for a moment I thought geez what have I done with my life. But these figures are just too good man. I have resigned myself that I will be hunting for them till the end of time.

I can't wait until next summer when people start complaining about Hasbro rerunning Cobra Island figures in the mainline bogging the line down from getting new figures...
Retailers have long memories, and I GUARANTEE they still remember the "refresh case" issues in fall 2008, and lackluster sell through on the movie in 2009, the Arctic Destro plague in 2010 and the mess of Retaliation's almost year long delay. I've seen this all before, and I'm sure the usual trends will continue here.
