If a third run was planned you would of heard about it by now. What was up there today IMO judging by how quickly it sold out and how it was hardly even advertised was just some extra customer service stock that needed to finally leave the warehouse. |

I hate that, apparently, to get everything for retail price, I can never leave my computer. I didn't even know the deluxe Snake Eyes was going to be offered again, or that any Joe product reveals or pre-orders were going to happen, until I received an e-mail- I saw the e-mail 8 minutes after I received it, went to the Pulse site, and the Cobra Soldier was already gone. Over and over again, Pulse pre-orders, often for non-exclusive stuff, sell out way too quickly. Transformers, Star Wars, Marvel Legends... The PulseCon exclusive sale actually went very smoothly- it would be nice if Premium members had a 24 hour period where we could order non-convention stuff before the general public, maybe then the Premium membership would actually feel worthwhile.
The Target thing is a bad joke. It, in particular, is really souring me on the 6-inch line. Target has had similar issues lately with Star Wars and Marvel Legends exclusives, too. Seriously, what is the point of all of these pre-orders if retailer orders and/or production numbers can't be increased as a result? |

People gotta remember that Pulse is not there to continuously stock items. They put up a finite amount and that's it.
By not doing so, it causes problems and competition for their partners that buy tons of crap from them all year long. All the way from Walmart to Ebay sellers and everyone else imaginable. BBTS and the like are never going to pull down a Pre-Order for something like this unless Hasbro directly tells them that no more are coming. Just be aware though that unless you ordered right away the moment they hit the site that your chances of getting those items in the month that it's listed for are next to zero at this point. O you'll probably get it, but you'll be on the delayed list till God knows when. They get stuff in waves with never enough to satisfy all of the Pre-Ordered demand on the initial go arounds. That's just the way that it works and a little FYI for those that don't know. =) |

Well I was able to take a break at work and get on my phone shortly after 5. I wasn’t interested in the exclusive CC and figured I would try for a Viper or zartan. But I couldn’t get them in time. Then I saw the 6’ Drizzt figure from D&D. I got him and left very satisfied as I have been waiting for that figure for almost 30 years. I guess I will be stalking popfindr and targets again.
Anymore fantasy nerds out there? |

Glad things are going so well for you. Things aren't so great for a lot of other people, right now, what with the pandemic, racial injustice/protests/riots, the pandemic, a possible nightmare election, oh, and the pandemic. For me, collecting is--like sports, movies, tv, & video games--a distraction from all the crappy stuff in every day life, but collecting has become ridiculously demoralizing, unfortunately. Was nice to have it as an escape, wish it still was.

Only thing that I can possibly think of since this is happening time and time again, more then ever it seems with all sorts of lines is that these companies have some MAJOR pull. More so then we even remotely think.
It's plausible I suppose when you really think about it. We're looking at this stuff from our blurred action figure goggles, but the truth of the matter is that Hasbro as well as these other entities are much more then that. Think about how many Targets and Walmarts are out there for instance PLUS the on-line presence. How many millions upon millions to billions of dollars they spend on EVERYTHING that Hasbro produces from board games to nerf guns. Take those juggernauts out of the equation and the toy company would either go belly up or forced to downside significantly. With the absence of TRU, there just aren't enough "other" entities pulling this kind of weight. Once that happens, who knows...The Walmarts and Targets of the world might very well be calling many of the shots here. Hasbro, even knowing how bad this is from "our" standpoint is essentially helpless. Throwing a couple of this and that their way at our expense just isn't worth the long term ramifications. Toys are a drop in the bucket for these kind of companies, so I could certainly see a ruthless give us what we want or die attitude. Hasbro certainly can't reciprocate. It really might not be any more complicated then that. Ya with their multi-billion dollar company, their $19.99 retail figure isnt top priority🤣

Soo.... how long until Amazon buys up Target? ;D All things considered, I'd pay them for a ticket off Cobra Island!

And there's the rub right there. Over the past few weeks while I was trying to find a Baroness on the shelves I went to multiple Targets multiple times (sometimes multiple times a day). And several of those times I was like "Hmm, I need Thing, I may as well get it while I'm here." I ended up spending a decent amount of money that I otherwise wouldn't have if I had found a Baroness early on. And that's exactly what they want. And once Firefly and the Viper start showing up in stores the same thing will happen.

It's by design that you can't just walk out of there with what you want and came in for on the first or any go around and not come back for weeks plus later. And guess what....Repaints, lesser demanded figures aren't gonna do it. People can pass on those...These though? Nope...They've GOT YOU! Marketing strategies are fun aren't they.... |

Is Cobra Island going to be 3 waves? Since there are 3 locations on the art work map & during the Pulse-con reveal it sure sounded that way since Firefly & the Vipers where at one location & the wave 1 characters at another, leaving the 3rd. If this happens I have a bad feeling the Alley Viper or BAT will be that waves army builder.
