Hi. New to the forums. I sold all my 80s Joes years ago. But after starting to collect the Star Wars retro line I saw the Joes were doing a retro as well. I’ve decided to go all in and start collecting GiJoe again. But as an adult I don’t want to lose all the guns and packs that come with the figures. And I will be ripping the packaging open a playing with them or displaying them.
Can anyone suggest a sort of tackle box or tool box type system that fits the joes. Something so I can safely sore them when not on the shelf or to hold alt weapons. I understand the new retro line is taller than the ones I had in the 80s. I was looking around on amazon but wasn’t sure what works best. Thanks in advance for any help. Yo, Joe! I’m excited to be collecting again |

I use these acid free bags, 4 mil, 3" x 5" size:
G.T. Bag Company - Recloseable Plastic Zip®Bags I then store them in Sterlite bins from Target. I use the smaller (shoe box size) bins for my small team Cobras. This bin holds about 30-35 Joes if you stand them up: https://www.target.com/p/sterilite-1...91#lnk=sametab And I use the larger flat bins for my Joes and Cobra Large Armies. These hold about 130 figures if you stand them up: https://www.target.com/p/sterilite-3...92#lnk=sametab I like the clear bins as I can see what teams are in each one. Of course, you should keep them out of sunlight, and store them in a dry, constant temperature place. I used to use just Ziplock bags from the store, but I've heard stories of 25th ann. Storm Shadows starting to yellow due to the acid in the Ziplock bags. I've had no problems with the acid free bags, and some figures have been in them for years. Hope this helps.

If you are getting the modern figures, I say get some acid free bags and then you can put them in any plastic tub you like. The acid free bags will ensure the soft plastic doesn't react with the containers. A good source is GTZIP.com - Ultra Clear Polypropylene Bags Wholesale.

3rd vote for GTZip acid-free bags. They’re museum-quality archival bags and really do prevent discoloration in the plastic.

I’m a big fan of these: Plano 2-3700 Prolatch Stowaway (four pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007N5ZULO..._AiHRm6bUnt4ZB Easily stackable and just right for 12 figures each. |

I just picked these up and they're perfect. I only have one Joe right now. But this is just what I was looking for. Fits all the gear and figure and I can see who and what is in each compartment. I'll probably get some bags as well. Now I just need my pre-orders to ship from Walmart. Thanks everyone for the advice and help.

Does anyone who's ordered from GTBAG have any extra, unused bags for sale?
I just ran out of 3x5 2.0 mil bags but don't need 1,000 more (which is the min. order quantity)! Hoping someone here has an extra 100pc bag available for sale. Ideally looking for Item#P2pz3x5. Could also use a couple 4x6. |
