Dammit, this was a great series. I hoped we could see Zandar & Zarana, but... -sigh- What is it with IDW cutting their Joe series short?

I don't know it for a fact, but the trade has 11 issues which is high for IDW. They usually do the skinny ones with 4-6 issues, although that is not a hard and fast rule. But the Amazon description states that it is the complete series.

I think Hasbro might be a major factor as well. After the big dud of "Revolution", I think it was Hasbro that had them "clear the slate" with Unicron. And the first Transformers series that relaunched? It was thematically VERY similar to the just released Siege toy line. With a new movie on deck, a successful (if niche) relaunch, Hasbro might be pushing IDW to create a new series in more in line with the more "traditional" approach Classified and the Blackout game is going for.

Because people aren't buying it, and those that do haven't been singing its praises.

Doubt it, with IDW they always buck the trend of following the IP releases, and with a new movie on the horizon they are gonna as usual, create movie tie ins. I don't see them trying to do another reboot so fast after this now, they will likely just leave ARAH going as is which is not a good seller either but has been consistent at least. We probably wont see a new Joe series till closer to the film release and in IDW tradition they will go nuts with adaptations and tie in media

I'm not surprised this title is ending. I think it was doomed from the start. It really only resembled the G.I. Joe that we know and love in name alone. That's not a comment on the quality of the book, but it felt like IDW tried to dupe me into buying something that wasn't really G.I. Joe. It should have been called something else. I'm really not sure why IDW feels this need to depart from the Hamaverse...

I just read issue 9 featuring Tunnel Rat and I really liked it. The deaths of the various Joes made it more poignant because the battles matter here. I was lukewarm on the series before, but this has me hoping it continues.

I just read issue 9 as well. It was much better than anything that ARAH has had in a long time.
