The low resolution images drive me crazy too. If no one asks before the next custom class, I will ask them when they are going to fix it.

Anyone know the story behind Court of the dead? Never heard of it.

It’s an in house brand of Sideshow Collectibles. They make statues themselves but have licensed to BFS. Don’t know much of the backstory to the universe.

I think it's a really great idea for a license, much better than the so-retro-all-the-original-fans-are-dead Zorro, Flash and Phantom stuff. The Court figures are a cousin of the fantasy line that put BFS on the map originally. Yet they're an even more modern style. These let them showcase high detail in paint and sculpting that their other licenses to date do not. The lack of a well-known backstory isn't an issue since their homegrown lines don't have that either. And as for Sideshow fans, a smaller action figure line is a much more reasonable thing to ask someone to collect from a made-up property than a line of high-end statues.

I'm looking at what's going to be successful and put them on the map as a company. I don't think these retro licenses are going to do it. I think Tarzan is the best choice of the hero lines because Tarzan movies have never stopped coming out. Phantom is the worst choice, way too low a profile. Flash and Zorro are mediocre choices...their movies are fading into history at this point and aren't talked about much anymore. And, most importantly, these figures are plain-looking designs and don't look exciting to people who know nothing about the licenses.
I think Sherlock Holmes would've been a better choice than most of the Hero lines. There you have a well known character who is still active in modern media like Tarzan. And I believe he's fully public domain so wouldn't even need licensing costs. |

Seeing their Tarzan figure makes me want them to get into Primal so I can get a Spear and Fang collection going.

I dont understand boss fight studios.. their designs for GiJoes and Marvel Universe figures were the absolute best releases of those lines.. but I havent seen them do anything close to as good as those figures in their own lines.

So I made the mistake of preordering Zorro before the other preorders were available and I can't change that apparently. But before I preorder Tarzan and Court of the Dead, will there be any other new figures coming out for preorder soon? If so, I'd rather wait to bundle them all together.
