To be honest, mid-tier developers don't even bother with porting games to PC these days. It's much too cumbersome to do so judging by all the component variations and combination that makes up a PC. Consoles on the other hand are standard. Then there is the piracy issues with the PC releases. The country I live in used to import a lot of PC pirated copies. It's cheap and affordable for the audience of a developing country. Console games too. But as the time went by with new laws implemented, piracy slowly declined. Affordability of consoles and their games and increased prices for PC components certainly helped to drive the PC gaming market to a niche. Why play a pirated game when you can play the real deal + you don't have to buy new components every time a new game comes out. I kid you not, I have friends who bought graphic cards on a 6-month basis. With consoles, it's just one time console purchase until a better one comes 6-7 years later. I wouldn't hold my breath for a PC release for G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout. Game publisher's recent history certainly doesn't reflect that. |

It's pretty much a "budget title" to keep Joe relevant in the public eye with the recent push of the property again. It reminds me of Toy Soldiers: War Chest which I worked on which well....I hope this game is considerably better than that.

It's again, great news. Younger audience should know what G.I. Joe is. As for myself, the lack of PC version is a dealbreaker, but I know I'm in the minority.

Neat! It’s cool they’re using the Classified designs! Here’s to hoping it’s an FPS game!

I just play the role of a grumpy old man on the Internet...I am not a gamer or a 6 inch collector, but it is awesome to see this kind of effort put into the property. I hope it breaths enough life into it that we can enjoy Joe merch and media for several years. Now I’m going to go back and yell at a kid on my lawn...
