I hope this Retro Line continues to do well. I would love to see 25th BATs, POC Crazylegs, Renegades Airtight, 30th Cobra Trooper, 30th Cobra Viper, 30th Lifeline, 30th Scifi, 50th Leatherneck, 50th Lady Jaye, 50th HEAT Viper, and 50th Gung Ho on vintage cards.

Yeah I haven't had a chance to watch the presentation either. Someone want to post it again? This thread is huge now.

Snake Eyes is up for pre-order again, for whatever reason.

Actually, the big, traditional toy companies (Hasbro, Mattel, Spin Master, etc) would probably prefer to not deal with us at all. We're a fickle, noisy, hard to please lot who actually whine a lot more about toys than children ever do. They want to make toys for kids. Problem is, with kids in general outgrowing toys at increasingly (decreasingly?) younger ages, we've become a viable market for traditional action figures. That's caused the advent of the more boutique outfits (Funko, Hiya, Super 7, etc).
It's why I particularly dig Spin Master's DC 4" toys. They're obviously toys made exclusively for kids, but cool enough to appeal to my adult nostalgia for toys made exclusively for kids. LOL! |

Every so often, I find a line that almost nobody but kid me seems to give a damn about, and it's glorious--until either the adulting convinces me I'm wasting my money buying something so unpopular or the rest of the community discovers the coolness, creating a seller's market by proxy, and ruins the fun of collecting it--haven't been a fan of "the hunt" for years. Seems to happen with annoying consistency.

I do think, though, that we will get the Rattler at some point. And that has me very excited. I've been wanting a 25th Rattler since I got back into this but they are just so expensive (or broken). The o-ring crowd is what they are, but the thing that is depressing me the most about this thread is how many people seem to assume this is a 25th reissue wave. Have they actually used any 25th figures? Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Baroness are all post-25th designs. And the HISS Driver is a remold. I hate the 25th figures compared to the 30th/PoC/50th and it worries me that they might use a 25th Duke, Trooper, or Scarlett since everyone keeps throwing 25th language around.
