The same seems to be happening here with Joe. The sum of the parts is ok. But the overall execution is sloppy. Maybe the art team will get their act together in the next batch. It does show promise. Just needs some more effort. And give em a tan for frak's sake. Real military men and women get plenty of sun. They're in the desert, jungle or what have you, sweating their asses off. They're not #$%^& vampires or stuck inside with the AC cranked when it get 90 degrees. Last edited by Mega Convoy; 07-19-2020 at 09:51 AM.. |

You're missing the point I think. It's not the o-rings themselves that's the attraction; it's new modern sculpts with o-rings or reissues of vintage figs that aren't broken so people can relive the glory days of youth or have a nice looking addition to their real vintage collection.

I don't see how having this much Joe product being released and selling out isn't a win for all Joe fans. But whatever. People are really odd.

It's the same reason new Star Wars flicks will always be subject to outsized expectations. Funny thing is, back when we were kids, we loved all this stuff just because it was fun. Now as adults, we're trying to recapture that fun while simultaneously adulting all the fun out of it. |

Because it isn't EXACTLY what I want! Which, of course, is exactly what EVERYONE should want. Those who want something different are just wrong, and anything Hasbro produces that isn't that is also wrong. Duh!

Alot of collectors go through phases - selling off collections/reacquiring them (for different reasons). I stated that this was a win/win for me personally - It's how I view the new "retro" line in a positive light. |
